To me it still doesn't look finished. Even at 2000 hp the thing doesn't seems to have any aero or vents. Look at any hypercar on the market and they are covered in angles, wings, canards and intakes to keep them on the ground and running cool. To be fair, many supercars and hypercars even on top tiers and manufacturers borrow parts from regular sports cars anyway and it doesn't look bad at all. Does anyone remember how the prototype of this car used to look like? It was hideous. What really disapoints me about this car is the top speed it gets with twice the power of a veyron. Most compustion powered hypercars will hit 500kmh with less than 2000hp.

I was looking forward to this car and even saw it in person at the Petersen museum but I am so disappointed that they didn’t developed the car from the ground up and decided to go with C8 power train, interior, key fob, an even the horn alert when you leave the key fob inside the car and close the doors, a feature that is have been on Corvettes since 2005. It is a cool car and a proven platform but not for millions they’re gonna ask for it. It is unique but For the same money I wait for the C8 ZR1 or the C8 Zora and still have money to travel to every cool track in the world and race it.

I'll be unbiased here. I'm glad the car exists. The V8 with 2000hp makes sense since we have a ton of tuner companies who make upto 3000hp from cross plane V8s so the knowledge is there. What I'm interested in is the V16 for obvious reasons. And to be honest even 4500hp with quad turbos is very possible but let's see what goes. Though I should think the 400km/h for the V8 is limited because the power to weight ratio is better than a Chiron. Maybe CoD isn't. Last is the interior. It's kinda sad it is lifted from the C8 Vette but if it serves to reach production in a cheaper and quicker way then so be it. At least they didn't just slap it, add their own badges and call it a day.

You'd really hope for something like this to be something real but it feels more and more like its quite the intangible car that was promised way back when. She's driving the same car (obviously not the EXACT same car) 3 years later and we still only see road legal speeds on a race track. Clearly there is no full throttle or close to it because if it was you'd be able to tell by her reaction to something that has meant to have I'd guess over 2000hp. Its sad but it feels like this a more a video that's been paid for by the company to try and regain interest in it. The interior already looks dated and is lifted from a Corvette... nothing against the Corvette but that isn't a car anywhere near where this was meant to be on its original promise.

This car was designed to flex on people, it looks pretty and maybe goes fast in a straight with 2k horsepower, but it was not built to be a racecar. Steve Morris developed the V16 specific to this car, more than 6 years ago. They ran it to 4500hp at that time...

He never built it for this car, he already built a v16 all he done was cnc some rockers to say devel16 on them and made a deal to produce more v16 engines for them when they asked, they've never asked and the original v16 engine has never been fitted to a car its still in a crate to this day. Steve offered to build another one for anyone with the cash but wants closer to 700k an engine as the crank and camshaft are particularly hard to make as they require another thrust bearing roughly in the middle of them.

There's 3000hp V6 GTR and V8...few 3000hp V8 made some drag week but there's some who drive 1000 miles between drag strips and race so it's legit build! So technically it's possible to realise...it won't be easy but possible! Reliability durability engine endurance are the hardest part with making 2 separate engines work in perfect harmony But people who can afford this kind of cars don't drive it to the limits...just a few acceleration in straight line revving pop flames look cool and rich...

Well... the engine is real... has been real for a long time (even though its not in this particular car)... the question is have they actually figured out how to get a transmission to handle those 5000hp. That will be a difficult endeavor indeed... arguably more difficult than building the actual engine. Usually when you get up into those HP numbers, its either in drag cars or locomotives. Drag cars use a destructive clutch that is literally only good for one run before it is all welded together and has to be replaced... Locomotives usually have their engines hooked to generators that directly drive electric motors... both of which I don't really see as being good options in this car. If they really want to use 5000hp and make it work... the only way I can see them doing that is by going the Regara route and making a stupidly strong torque converter... but man... what a TC it would have to be to hold up to that kind of power.
