TBT it's not that hard to do with Alex. His parry can be held, unlike Ryu's, Gill's or similar which have to be on time, that makes it MUCH easier. Although it's still fairly impressive visually.

@Garviel-Loken5 жыл бұрын
It's pretty much the same deal: time your parry to the attack using one button to perform, in 3rd strike it was forward or down and in 5 it's your vskill/trigger buttons. Yes in 3rd strike you could parry in the air but I really don't see the difference between the grounded parry in either game, you need to learn the timing of the attacks for each character in both games, you need to put in the practice in both games. Someone new to either game isn't going to just be pulling off perfect parrys instantly. It seems like everyone that compares 3 to 5 has some sort of magical parry input that was way harder than press one button at the right time! I love 3rd strike but let's not pretend that parrying is any different. Press at the right timing, negate damage, gain advantage. Press at the wrong time and eat the attack!
@kennedyo.s99355 жыл бұрын
@@Garviel-LokenWell you kinda right. You have to practice to perfect it. But the difficult level is way different in both games. 3rd Strike have some perfect frame system, witch is like 2 or 1 frame before the attack came out. In SFV, well, even button mashing would parry. That is why don't surpreend too much people nowdays are doing the "37 Moment". See a bit of this one [0:24] kzbin.info/www/bejne/naa8nWCdgd9kZ7M or this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4TKcpKkgMSqaaM

IMO Alex has the only stupid parry in the game, as it requires literally zero timing. The whole "auto parry" thing looks impressive visually but actually requires very little skill. Successfully doing a parry with Ryu, Gill etc actually requires timing, where Alex has an auto parry. Oh well, considering he is incredibly low tier anyway, not a big deal for him to have atleast one cheesy tool at his disposal.
