Correct me if I'm wrong, but pierce requires the arrow to hit, but the explosion of the skill does not. So AR only matters as far as people want multiple explosions from a single shot. In thick groups, having low AR could mean missing out on substantial damage.

This is correct. I would never run this build without 9 in Pierce, razortail or wisdom, and enough AR to hit. You need to hit to Pierce, and need to Pierce to trigger multiple explosions. Nothing increases the damage in this build more than Pierce and AR.

@@natem4412 luckily running a GMB and a Ravenfrost gives you enough dex and AR that it just works. GMB cuz of the amount of dex required to equip it for clarity.

I dont know about that but im using Ice runeword on my Grand Matron Bow and have 90% pierce on the skill tree. my arrow flight throu a group of mobs and continue to the group after them while freezing them for seconds. Gaunerh Gamings Ice-bowazon did hit the mobs but it not going trough them. Or did i missed something here? 😃😃😃

I wouldn't exactly call 3/20/20s and 5/20s "budget". Instead of the Wizendraw you could have used an Ice Matriachal Bow and even though the runewords contains Jah and Lo the "budget" would have been lower than with even just one of the 3/20/20s.

I found that, if I’m running Faith on this build, that an act 1 Fire merc with Brand complements this build very well. Valk can tank pretty much anything. Otherwise I run an Ice runeword and have an act 1 fire merc running faith. Very good. Also skipping out on the freezing arrow max allows you to use those 20 points elsewhere since it only adds to frozen time and not damage. Those 20 points in valk synergies, plus enough points in pierce to get 100% pierce with your gear makes the damage soar

Lets just face it Barbarian and Amazon Bow are my favorite but requires to much to be decent to start with but with a beserker barb I can manage with headstriker upped but also to I need highlords ect.. Melee lacks to far behind because of gear vs magic sadly plus the end game just plain boring mf to find stuff to mf more and only end game is pvp
