Folks clearly just don't know how small artists tour. She had way more accommodations then most small artists do, especially ones who aren't even technically part of the show. She is calling a whole tour bus a slave ship, but the biggest bands in the world live out of tour buses when they tour, and unlike her, they pay for it themselves. A lot of bands just starting don't even get hotel rooms and live and sleep out of vans. She said herself there was a McDonalds within walking distance but she didn't want to walk "because of scorpions," they did not make this girl starve, they just didn't invite her out to eat. I find it hard to believe there was no DD/UE in an area with a steakhouse, places to play basketball, and a McDonalds within close range. I have family who live in a town with less than 800 people and even they have these services. Editing to add: I am not a fan of Ice Spice, I think she is a mean girl and I don't have any trouble believing anything we hear about her. I just also think this girl is delusional to think she deserved the same amenities as a headlining artist and thought it was okay to insinuate someone should do twice as much work for the same pay, and work as her go-to for shit as well as Ice.

Also, I work on the contractor side of events and some gigs require 12+hrs of work to make an event run smoothly for the politicians in my case, but the same would apply for artists. Her make-up artist and the other one can't just take a 30min lunch break whenever they want. They have to wait for Ice Spice's permission essentially, so they know that she won't need them for the time it takes them to go, eat, and come back. If Spice decides to go eat spontaneously even though she only has part of her team with her, she, or a member of her staff has a duty to tell the rest of the staff that they should make some time to eat without Spice's side of the group.

THAT SAID..........If my "friend" invited me to something like this, and say "You're with me," I take that to mean- I got you, I'm paying for you, because I invited you. That would include taking care of basic needs- sleeping and eating. So yes, I would be upset if the "friend" suddenly expected me to start paying for things they had agreed to pay for.
