He's the reason I became a Bengals fan in the first place. I remember watching him as a kid, around 10 years old and my dad was a huge cowboys fan tried for years to get me to follow them, but then Woods had me watching football after his touchdown celebrations. Been a Bengals fan since. Was hoping the 49ers would've made it for a rematch but still in the Superbowl 😸 Who Dey!

The NFL banned touchdown dances in the end zone and forced Ickey to do his dance on the sidelines. The dance itself was popular world wide. Even Paul Brown did this dance heading into the Super Bowl.

It's funny, he's my uncle and he took all his bad injury luck in stride WAY better than my cousins (his oldest children) and I did. But I still see the play against Pittsburgh in Week 2 of the 1989 season that basically derailed everything...it was unfortunate, but those are the breaks of the game. Some people played 15 years and never got to a Super Bowl (i.e. Dan Fouts, Warren Moon). My uncle was in it and damn near won a world title his rookie year. He's always enjoyed the ride.
