A design that is almost 50 years old but is still the most beautiful, especially Airwolf
@jllen729 Жыл бұрын
Probably the most beautiful flying machine ever created, and still looks completely modern today! Must be a true honor to have one in your possession!

Beautiful aircraft! Those wide chord rotor blades produce a lot of lift for a teetering head rotor system.

I have three questions. One: Have you ever played the Airwolf theme while flying this beauty? Two: How does she handle? Three: How does it feel to fly a legend? Great video's, keep up the good work!

Many of us Airwolf fans would be grateful for a video from the perspective of an actual aviation specialist such as yourself to give us a detailed analysis of the specific mods to the standard issue 222a, as well as how impractical a real-life Airwolf would be. (At least in terms of aeronautics: speed, maneuverability, ceiling, dis-engaging the rotors, etc.) What would it take for you to convert your 222a into a screen-accurate Airwolf? Can't wait to hear it coming online and taking flight!
@HelixAvBell Жыл бұрын
that is a very complex set of questions it would take a long time to explain maybe one day we can do some videos on it. thank you for watching the videos

The music in the beginning just hypes up the 222 even more. Great video well done.

Thanks for the video, Gary. Liked and subscribed. I'm a retired USAF guy, but anything that flies has always been a fascination to me since childhood. I didn't have rock band posters on my wall as a kid, instead, my walls were covered in jets and helicopters. I was a fan of Airwolf from the beginning to the end. This video was very well done and you're well spoken and knowledgeable on the subject matter. I look forward to watching all of your videos. Cheers.

Wow, absolutely LOVE this. So much close up view of a 222, and excellent explanation of what you do. Awesome! Thank you so much for the effort of making these vids and sharing them! The 222 is without a doubt the best looking helicopter of all time, specially as Airwolf, and I can't imagine that will ever be beaten by another design. I haven't seen a nice closeup of the rotor head like this and it's huge indeed. Awesome engineering!

Wow, what an iconic aircraft. Thank you for this! I can imagine Dom in the lair doing the preflight checks. Hopefully one of the studios make a new series or movie. Who would you choose to play Stringfellow Halke?

Are you going to add the official Airwolf modifications? My recollection is that the pilots reported that they made the helicopter fly even better.

Don't just look, Grab and feel for loose items. There was an HEMS 222 that was almost lost with a loose servo pack. It looped rolled uncommanded only when the pilot rolled of the throttles off on the bottom of its last loop did it land on a roof of a building. Crew and all walked away.
@steveblackbirdАй бұрын
As an aircraft engineer your walk around inspection was rather good to watch. Certainly a lot to look for with an aging helicopter. (Only worked on helicopters very early in my career but now on large pax aircraft) How difficult is it to find parts for the 222 now it's getting on in years. Does Bell still support them well?

Great video, some things you forgot do to though :): you didn't check the turbo's, and you have to fill up the chainguns, missiles and more importantly the sunburst ;)

Thanks again for such a great video and i am sure if you could change her more into Airwolf and would take your business into another level. Then a Huey Vietnam version (Tour of Duty) Then a Magnum Hughes 500 and so on. What a way to travel in your chosen TV icon Helicopter and maybe also get sponsors to do this as well. Maybe getting film work too. Tom Cruise next Stringfellow Hawke and a remake of Airwolf film fly's your Helicopter.

Hi! Thank you for everything! Would it is possible for you to tell us is the alarm tones are accurate in this video : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYW0dHmigdWed9E (at 50:20) If not, could it be possible to share with us a recording of the actual real tones/alarms and other anouciators (seat belts/no smoking lights). Thank you again for your great videos!

Shame the real air wolf was a radio controlled helicopter. would be good to see a full sized converted bell to air wolf.
@dhtsoaedsdhtnadi9575Ай бұрын
the real airwolf was a real 222b with a real pilot. after the series ended, she was taken out of her makeup and sold to an air ambulance service and crashed into the side of a small mountain during a storm over cologne germany.
