i like wrap around decks, you can always find the "just right" spot to sit outside, plus it keeps the water away from the walls, doors, and windows lowering the long-term maintenance and reducing the risk of leaks ever happening.

Agree with many of your comments. We all have “stuff” that wouldn’t fit here. Seems there is never room for the essentials--cleaning supplies, vacuums, storage for holiday stuff without renting a storage unit, never enough room for the clothes we accumulate, hobbies, work (yes I need a printer and a desk folks), luggage, larger appliances ( i still do canning, and where aer the garages? I don’t want to be hauling my groceries through the wet and snow into the house. Yard maintenance? Tools? Maybe I am too old now but I thought that that stuff came along with living in a house. Guess this is for the few minimalist people out there. And I say few cause all i see being built are storage unit after storage unit!!!! I don’t want to spend my life renting and going to my storage units to get my gear (yeah sports equipment etc).

Move the dishwasher to the side of the sink to avoid twisting when loading. Add a small cabinet to the right side of range for safety and avoid pot handles sticking out. Eliminate bedroom doors to outside and place a door in bathroom for easy access from outside. This will require some tweaking, but worth it for function. 2 shower areas in a bathroom are redundant and not a good use of space. Otherwise, perfect.😊

Huge porches, perfect for outdoor living where the climate permits. Although there's a place to hang your coat, I miss having a foyer before you step into the living room. The energy-wasting wood burning fireplace and hearth take up an entire wall, which limits furniture arrangement. Some people prefer a separate kitchen, and the laundry room appears to have a pantry closet. The impractical shower head over the tub in the ensuite should be removed. I'm puzzled by the very large mystery closet facing the dining table. It's larger than HVAC/water heater equipment would require, though that amount of space might accommodate a stairway to a basement. Overall, this plan has potential.

I think this design is very nice! It can be scaled up or down depending upon how much room a family would like. The kitchen has plenty of room to cook for a large group of people, but isn't too big. Also the wrap around porch allows views of nature without allowing heat and sun in.

Beautiful home, just a few changes. I am not a fan of barn doors so I would replace with sturdy wood, make the master larger than the secondary bedroom, and do we not have a wall for the tv?

This is the real deal for me. I would build a double garage hidden underneath the house and also a storage area. On the top of this beautiful layout I will build a small top room with wrap around porch and it will reached by stairs and a one man lift. I love this house!!!!!!!

I absolutely love the wraparound porch. I do not like all the dark wood inside and out. The kitchen needs a pantry! There's too many windows in every room which is unsafe. I do not care for exit doors being in the bedrooms.I don't understand the shower head being over the tub in the master Bedroom doesn't make much sense.

Knock out the wall that separates the kitchen from the living and dining room. And the bathtub with a shower head while there's a seperate standing shower in the corner. Conflicted about that one. But, Overall....Beautiful home.

Great suggestions, I agree. Not conflicted about the showers. Shower head over the tub plus hand held shower plus stand alone shower all in one bathroom is major overkill. Especially considering the guest bathroom only has a stand alone shower. Also that master bath with all the showers wastes space in a small house. The kitchen sink that’s incorporated into the countertop reminds me of the old one piece bathroom sink and countertop. That’s a big no. ALL of the rooms need to be much larger. The general layout is good for a 2 bdrm, and the wrap around porch is fantastic. Back to the drawing board.

Gorgeous home. But why did you not show us what was behind the double barn doors in l.r.??? I love the large claw foot tub in the one bathroom but I would've loved it better if there was a separate shower. As far as the second bathroom, those shower units are way too small for the "real-sized" person. I adore that you put in a real wood burning fireplace. Super job

The architectural details are superb. The only thing I would change is it needs to basement fully finished and then if you have the money, I survival shelter connected to the basement, big enough for a family of five.

I like the simplicity of the roof and the wrap-around decks--though I would have some of it screened-in. I have to say that I am continually frustrated to see housing geared for people who seem to do nothing but eat, sleep, and watch TV (or the fireplace).

Same. I’d like to see home design embrace the way a whole lot of us live. We play computer games, D&D with friends, work from home and exercise indoors. My family rarely sits down in the living room to watch TV. We are usually doing solo activities and gather in the kitchen to chat and eat. Our living room is pretty much just for looks. Or for dogs lounging on the couch. 😂

What’s behind the barn doors in the dining room? Beautiful home! Great living area but I don’t want a fireplace, just a wood stove. I see some discrepancies in this house I don’t like, such as a Master Suite that is smaller than the other bedroom. I would remove the master shower and keep a soaking tub/shower and decrease the bathroom size to provide a larger bedroom. I also would want to change up the kitchen lay out to open it up with a big open window where I could interact with guests while cooking which puts the cooking on the refrigerator side, dishwasher and sink on the open side with lower cabinets all around the kitchen and upper cabinets on the center of the “U” and refrigerator and stove. That would blow this plan with the plumbing and electrical changes. My front porch wouldn’t be so large while the rear one would be much larger. One door to the deck in the bedrooms plus 1 or 2 windows (2 front/1 master). Overall, too many changes to make the work, but in general, I liked it.

Really like the wrap around deck and all of the windows, thats pretty much it. Having all that floor space in the kitchen means a lot of wasted space and too many steps between counters. The rooms are small, clostrophobic . I have a round house, actually 16 sides, 40 feet side to side, 1 spacious bedroom with 2 large closets plus full on suite. Second 1/2 bath with stackable laundry, open concept kitchen, dining, living, with separated entrance. I also have a wrap around deck and plentry of windows. Lower floor has 2 very large bedrooms 1 bathroom, spacious living, dining and kitchen, completely separate suite suitable for family or rental. Gas fireplace on each level so no mess from wood, also plenty of storage closets.

Outside -5 stars Inside - 2 stars I would have preferred an open-concept kitchen. I'm not a big fan of islands, so I do love the fact that it's U-shaped. The fridge faces the wrong way, but that's easily fixed. I need counter space on *both* sides of the stove. Those showers are awful. I'd reconfigure to make the bathrooms more inviting.

Your immediate entry has an obstacle. There is minimal storage in the kitchen and zero pantry space. I was done after that. This house plan, though gorgeous in a simulator, is not functional for large or growing families. The footprint looks large but would be cramped otherwise. Nice simulation anyways.

I would leave off the porch on the south side because a house with properly designed windows and overhang on south side will give you great passive solar benefits. This will allow light in during the winter and block it in summer. A porch will block the light completely so winter will be dark and dreary inside.

@johnkemp4370 I live in the Midwest with freezing cold winters and hot humid summers. Our southern exposure overhang and window design let loads of light in during winter when the sun is low and block it in summer so best of both worlds.

The only thing I'd change is screen in all of the porch...2 reasons 1. The mosquitoes here can get ridiculous 2. My favorite 70's childhood fatm memory is sleeping on the porch cuz the house was too hot

I like the wraparound porch. The layout is nice too. The living room furniture was ugly and didn’t look good together. The wood ceiling in the kitchen was too much and made it feel a little claustrophobic. I would have the fridge open from the other side. In the en suite bathroom there was also too much going on. Overall decor just looks bland but nice looking house.
