Mandy Obi, first the elements attached to the four market days are not static or uniformed all over Igbo land. What is uniform is the hierarchy of the four market days. So, some people/community may have different approach or interpretation to symbols or elementals attached to these four market days. Conclusively, what I taught in this video is not cast in stone.

@@ladycash384 I believe I have answered you elsewhere. These elementals are not static. The elementals attached to the market days mean different things to different people. You can attribute Nkwo to water, if it works for you, fine. Personally, I do not attach any of the elementals to the four market days aside Afor I have come to identify with water.

@Ezeikolomuo2 жыл бұрын
I have another person that believes Orie is fire. I have said elsewhere that these elements are not cast in stone. The four market days is what is important. Do not be fixated on the elements attached to them because they are subject to personal interpretation. In fact, some people do believe these elements are modern day phenomenon. So you see, these things vary from individual or community to another. If I may shock you, here in Nnewi, Afor is the beginning of the market days. However, while doing this video I stuck with the generally accepted view of Eke, Orie, Afor and Nkwo.

The true meaning and symbolism of the four Igbo market days calendar Named "Eke, Orie, Afo, Nkwo." (The Eke day is the day of regeneration") meant that, it would witness the triumph of the cross of Jesus Christ over death at his resurrection. The Orie day meaning (the day He was offered to Almighty God. the day of His death). The Afo day meaning the day of His birth. and Nkwo day Meaning the day of His Baptism. This is Igbo Calendar True meanings. You do not understand Igbo Language and it meanings do more research.. The Igbo language is the fundamental language of so- called Sudanic "kwa" language. However, The Igbo Empires would spread to Europe, Middle-East, Near and Far East as far as India, China, Japan and Mongolia to establish the great Oriental Civilizations. All these languages have a common root in Igbo language!
