Blair has treated a lot of people very badly but what she did to Wonder is beyond despicable! Her behaviour and treatment of Wonder drove him to the point of almost ending his own life!! And for her to then make a video exposing his private mental health struggles to the world and claim that SHE was the victim?!? Blair deserves to lose everything IMHO because her success was built on the exploitation of people like Wonder and Click, people who had to endure her manipulative, controlling behaviour and whose lives she has since tried to ruin. Blair is literal human garbage!

Personally, if I had the ability, if I knew she had done all these things I wouldn't have 10,000 people staying on her view count and sub list *just* to harass her. If you want to make a change, acting like a 10 year old isn't it. The best course is to unsub and never view a video. Not even to take part in the drama. That car thing is disgusting, truly. Something like that is not a gift, it's a leash... When I first went to college, I knew I needed a car, my folks knew I needed a car, but I was flat broke and it would be months before my financial aid went through. So do you know what they did? They sold an old project car they no longer worked on, and took $1k cash and an old Pontiac beater in trade and just gave the Pontiac to me so I had something to drive around. I treasured that broken down piece of crap for five years before finally selling it and going without a vehicle. That was the greatest gift they could have given me, because it was an ACTUAL gift, not a financial burden. If you want to help somebody, I get it, but a car that runs costs basically nothing in this country. Anybody who would suggest something like that is a cruel, manipulative monster to prey on somebody in such a vulnerable state...

I think the final nail in the pyramid-shaped coffin was Click proving her claim about him allowing a sex offender on his discord to be a lie. Everything else was bad, but that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. What’s incredibly sad is that people still support her. Blatant lies, baseless accusations, carjacking, bullying other KZbinrs regularly, publicly posting screenshots of the Legal Eagle editor’s suicide thoughts, doxing that editor, and emotional abuse of her now ex-coworkers and yet they still blindly support her. The video commentaries she makes aren’t even her own opinion, she pays people to write her video essays for her. I swear, she could commit a murder and they’d stand by her. I used to watch her videos but the second I heard about the accusation of plagiarism that kickstarted her downfall, I unsubscribed. Her entire video was “boohoo [crocodile tears] [half assed apologize] well here’s why these people are to blame and not me.” Fake apology not unlike Logan Paul’s topped with whataboutism. She is not sorry. She’s trying to save her own ass. And if those tears are at all genuine, they’re being shed because she got caught. Edit: I just learned that she’s also using fake accounts to defend herself named doobyshmirtz and Seth among others and is pretending to be autistic. She’s also spamming her channel with new videos as if nothing ever happened.

Regarding the 'not giving an employee sth to do and then complaining/firing them': that's illegal in my country (nothing more than warnings and fines, but still). If your employer can't provide you with work, even something simple, they HAVE to let you go home for the rest of your shift - WITH FULL PAY. They can't let you sit there with nothing to do, so unless you really want to stay at work for whatever reason, your work day is done.

A great point that someone else made on another youtuber's comment section is that Wonder was still in his late teens when all of this started, like 19 years old, and Blair being 30+. Now imagine if the genders were reversed, a 35 year old man promising a 19 year old woman a their own home for them to live in, a job and a car, it basically would've appeared as Blair grooming a young adult and people would've justifiably been outraged. Actually, the example of her copying a quote from a documentary didn't end up falling flat, and not enough people are talking about it (understandably given all the other horrible stuff she did). Blair defended herself saying that she had a quote shown on a clip in her video, but it was actually a segment where the documentary was quoting the FDA. In the end, she didn't actually quote the documentary, but quoted the FDA directly, which would still give the impression that the whole thing was her own work. While this sounds technical, my main point is that the way she defended herself so disingenuously here aligns with her pattern of behavior of trying to mislead and manipulate people
@AnnCooper33
@AnnCooper33 Жыл бұрын
No, that's not all she quoted. That's all she showed on the screen. She quoted a whole monologue from the documentary without citing it in the video. It was listed in her references, but not cited properly. It actually is plagiarism, despite her not wanting to admit that.
@lisahenry20
@lisahenry20 Жыл бұрын
She put quotes around a very small section that was wrote on screen. That indicated that only that portion was the quote and the rest was her own words, but it wasn't. Incorrectly citing something is still plagiarism.

@@lisahenry20 Yup exactly. She essentially went, "Hey look everyone! I totally cited the British documentary! Look at this quote in my video!" which just so happened to be the part in the documentary that quoted the FDA. She said in her apology that her editors came to her and mentioned that LegalEagle's video uploads were very similar to her own. No. No they did not, and if they did, that'd make her editors the dishonest ones. We know that LegalEagle's editors reached out to Blaire first to ask about the video plugin, and then forged ahead when they found the info they wanted somewhere else. There's way better content out there about SeaWorld than Blair's(that she likely stole from to make hers, tbh).

if it's any consolation, she only does the voiceover on her videos, she doesn't even write them, she doesn't make the art. So it's not like you're missing out on "her" besides her voice

this is so bizarre because I really thought with her moral standing in a lot of her videos she was someone who was unproblematic and would never be canceled. Seeing all these exposed videos on her feels so strange.

My friend runs multiple discord servers for a small group of youtubers including myself. It contains a couple hundred people and we banned a guy recently because he was messaging one of the minors in our chat, privately asking for inappropriate photos. We had the person who received those messages report said person and we kicked that person from our servers. This type of stuff can happen in any server! We handled it as soon as we found out!

Yeah I like this one. It's not drawn out and catering to enhancing the drama and build more hate. This just seems like someone doing a report on someone else and that's that. We need more of that. Desperately.

Her entire audience would flee if they knew about the NDA’s and threats of litigation to stifle criticism of her. You can’t center your content around unethical business practices to exploit labor when it is a byproduct of the research for how to set up your own business for personal gain. She is antithetical to her personal brand… there is no coming back from that IMO.

I stopped following Blaire a year or so ago when i realized she sprinkles a lot of easily debunkable “facts” in her videos. She just says what she needs to in the moment to get what she wants.

Dang lol - Glad to see you’re still posting regularly, I just got interested in this particular person’s drama, and came across a Repzion video and thought to myself, “Dang, I haven’t seen this dude’s content since the Sarkeesian days!!!” I figured after all the years, it’s finally worth a sub ;)

It is very self-inflicted by Blair. If she just apologized to LegalEagle and Danny the editor with a statement of there have been other allegations that are not appropriate in a public forum. She would have lost a handful of subs, but not the freefall she is experiences right now.

A lot of her actions towards Wonder and TheClick were just malicious and really uncalled for. Especially the situation with Wonder where she basically took away everything in his life - his job, his income, his vehicle, and even his belongings that she has no rights to touch. And the way she called the police on him... I'm sorry to bring this up but if Wonder is POC, calling the police on him when he's armed and suicidal could very well result in a tragedy. And I think she's malicious enough to think of that as a getback to him...

« Words and actions » YES! So many creators and influencers need to hear this! Be cohesive, be coherent with your words and actions! By not being coherent, you lose all credibility! And it sounds like this is exactly what happened here. And credibility in her field, is everything!

It's a bit sad to watch. I feel like if she had therapy and medication, she might be a better person. But I'm thinking she's just... taking life raw. And that's probably not healthy if your mind isn't in a good place to begin with. I should know.. It took me five years of said therapy and medication to get to some semblance of normal. Apparently I'm not the same person anymore either. I lost some friends, but.. I dunno. I think I'll take not being a raging political nightmare over a few like-minded at the time friends. lol I just wanna play Stardew and watch camping videos these days. XD

@@liamlowenthal8476 😊 I think you have the right frame of mind! And well done for taking the time, energy, investment and so on to work on yourself!❤️ Few people ever do enough introspection to even realize they need to work on themselves or need help! That is a big deal! And after all that, of course you’re not the same person- I feel sad for people who just remain the same, don’t change… When you stop changing, you stop evolving, you stay stagnant. But people who are truly capable of introspection are always evolving, working on themselves and making their lives better, better for themselves, not others! How ever small that better may be! Sometimes that means taking some you time, playing stardew and watching camping videos! So seems to me like you have a pretty good recipe right there!😊 Simple things are the things that make us happy, the little daily pleasures. Because that’s what life is truly about really, all the little things!And you’ll lose and gain people on the way, and that’s ok! Plus, those who do remain stagnant seem to be the first ones to passively aggressively say “You’ve changed”🙄. I’m always a bit weary of people who say they don’t like change… Took you a lot of work to get where you are, enjoy it! If that means camping vids then good on you!😊👍 (I myself am really into camping horror stories at the moment.😂)

It's a bit difficult to separate the artist from the art, you know? You don't want to support the artist, but their art is still very beautiful or interesting. A lot like J.K. Rowling. She's a disgusting person, but damn if she doesn't have a great creative mind. Hence why whenever I can get her stuff for free, I will. lol It's my little fuck you to the people who don't deserve my money. So I'll pirate it. :P I'll pay for things non-shit people make though.
