Our adventure begins with three enthusiastic members of the Vespa club Sittard making their way to the starting point at camping Geul en Bos in Meersen. It is here that we witness the gathering of various clubs and Vespa riders, creating an atmosphere buzzing with excitement.
As the group ride kicks off, an unexpected hurdle presents itself when one of our members encounters a flat tire. However, the camaraderie and sportsmanship of our fellow Vespa riders shine through as they patiently wait for us to resolve the issue. From there, the real magic unfolds as we embark on a captivating tour. Picture different Vespas ranging from 50cc to 300cc, sidecars, vintages and a stunning Lambretta. Mooie opnames. Jammer dat door velen de verkeersregels worden overtreden. Vrijwel niemand geeft richting aan bij afslaan naar rechts of links. Doorgetrokken streep en toch erover heen. Snelheid is ook een ding in bebouwde kom. Veel naast elkaar rijden ook al komen er autos tegemoet etc. En zelfs door rood rijden komt voor. Over bus baan rijden. Het houdt niet op met de overtredingen.

Beste Wiljan, wat je niet ziet in de video is dat er begeleiders waren voor het verkeer. In zulke gevallen mag wel eens iets wat normaal niet mag. Vespa rijders zijn in het algemeen ervaren en rustige rijders. Echter kleine kruispunten werden even afgezet om zodoende de +- 70 vespa's bij elkaar te kunnen houden. Er zijn geen ongevallen gebeurd (ook nog nooit meegemaakt) en daar er 50cc's bij waren was de snelheid zeer laag. Misschien volgende keer eens meerijden :)
