This is not super connected to this video but I just think that you should try checking out Jorge Luis Borges if you ever get a chance. I know you like short stories and, in my opinion, there is no one better at writing them than Borges.

I'm autistic as hell and could not be satisfied starting reading by just start reading whatever interests you. Since the start of the year I've read Homer, Athenian playwrights, Augustan poets, and am currently reading the Bible. Because God forbid I start reading McCarthy or Steinbeck and they reference something I do not know. Besides the Bible Homer has been my favorite.
