Yeah, I hatched two shiny Piplup with their hidden ability, justified, which isn't impossible, it's just extremely difficult to get a hold of gen 4 starters with HA. I had to contact a guy who met a guy who knows a guy in order to get a legit Piplup with HA, getting a normal HA Piplup costed me a shiny Electabuzz & it's not like it's not hard to give them up, just the person who had them had a steep price for them. Meanwhile, I'm just handing out my breeding rejects like candy because I know it's hard to get them. I hadn't raised the one I'm keeping (gave the other shiny to a good friend of mine) into an Empoleon yet & it doesn't have perfect IVs but that's what bottle caps are for. I'm honestly scared about raising it because I don't want people calling hacks on the Empoleon I went through so much trouble for. I'd love to hear stories of when people called hacks on you, I don't play competitive but I am a shiny hunter, in order to spice things up & make it more interesting, I gave myself certain challenges while breeding for shinies to get some unique mons like my shiny Charizard is female, has 5 IVs (wouldn't you know it, the 1 IV my TIMID Charizard is missing is speed), & is solar powered. Made breeding Charmanders more fun going for good IVs & whatnot, I show my Pokemon off to my friends all the time & will do just for fun battling with people I'm close with since I'm sensitive about battling so I haven't had too many people call out my Pokemon but I've had them question some of them before. If you actually do battling & whatnot with your bred Pokemon, I'm sure you have some spicy stories to tell of people accusing them of being hacked & I know how hard it is getting the perfect Pokemon so it must be frustrating when people think you're hacking them. If you're comfortable with sharing, please do, I wanna hear.

I used to wonder trade 6 IV shiny dittos some years ago. Those were not illegal because you could possibly obtain one during a regular gameplay. They were illegitimate because they were clearly cheated, but no one could tell the difference, so they can be safely stored in PokéBank and Pokémon Home.

Technically that's not illegal because you could in theory get something like that in the game. It's just illegitimate, and there's no way to prove it was injected into the game. If any cops ask you just tell them you spent like 4 months trying to get it.
