I no longer live in Pakistan, so I am a little bit out of touch with the ground situation, even though I visit almost every year. I spent lots of time in Pakistan during COVID19 and that's when I started listening to Mahozaarian. His comment about WeChat being superior to meta and google. It has less to do with meta/google being incompetent and more to do with Apple (and Google) not allowing super apps on its platform. WeChat is a super app, and only in China, Apple (and Google) allow super apps. In rest of the world, they disallow it. Apple is being dragged into anti-competitive lawsuits in the US and Europe over this.
