The Illusory Mental Reality (Duality) of the Ego

The conditioned mind always wants to feel good. And as it functions in duality it only knows the opposites of good and bad. So instead of meeting all that is here and now (as it is), including the unpleasant experiences, it rather creates a virtual/mental/fantasy reality of how it would like things to be.
Unfortunately this (ignorant) approach does often create a shadow personality within us, that has never been integrated, seen or we could say enlightened.
Enlightenment is not only to discover that we are the light (of consciousness), but to also to enlighten within us and in the world, that which pretends to be not that light.
