Through this sad incident, I hope the Chinese government will change employment rights for all people and not just celebrities, especially when it comes to minimum amount of rest hours between work . Contractual agreements when accepting scripts or any form of work should come with a severe penalty for changing the contents without consent. Children are committing suicides in the west due to cyber bullying on social media . Celebrities should band together to force a change. Has nobody taken notice that a famous young Korean actor committed suicide recently due to cyber stalking? This is a wake up call for the world and start thinking the impact of social media can have on the younger generation .

exactly. it seems that they just let anyone abuse and act superior to their talents to the point of no regards to their talent's rights. i guess the director and his crew got an approval from her agency to also treat her that way. i can't remember that the "almost lover" did a proper boothing ceremony either, which i thought was a common thing for starting a drama's shooting phase.

I have been following Chinese actors. Since my love of the drama Unforgettable Lovers and others dramas as well. There are many supporters, fans communities, KZbin and Entertainment world (Internationally)started to globalize with their Chinese favorite Stars. The viewers are very observant and supportive of their favorite Stars. The rules can be rewritten or changed and compromised accordingly to fair practices and circumstances. Maybe 2025 brings the changes to Zhao Lusi, Song WeiLong and other Actors with more opportunities, Prosperity, Unity and Peace. I had the extreme pleasure of watching this very beautiful and endearing actress in the show “Hidden Love”. I am very disappointed that her friends, agents and professional associates did not or have not risen to provide her with protection and support needed As an American, it would seem callous to condemn the Chinese Government from not imposing laws, provisions and other safeguards to protect Zhao Lusi from this form of abuse. I have acquired a deep sense of appreciation for the talents of many Chinese Actresses and Actors. If you don’t wish to protect these very wonderful and popular people from predators in your entertainment world then they should be encouraged to leave China and go to a country where they will be cherished and loved by their fans.

How could that be? plus the production team of Almost Lover especially the director hasn’t said a word about this incident and rumors are spreading that Lusi was even given a fake script. Not so sure about her owing anything to them, but lusi is overworked by her company and has never gotten a long break. Money only flows in her company when she’s around. She was definitely forced to work because she wasn’t already feeling well around her birthday last month, but they still made her film that show right away.

The director doesn’t even show up on set and decided last minute to change the script when everything was already settled. While she wanted to get checked even before filming this drama, her company still made her join the team immediately. You don’t know how rough the Chinese entertainment industry is. She went through things that a young person shouldn’t have had to experience, but she carried on and got to where she is now. Please do more research before making rude remarks about her.
