Are we sure that last bit with Doug is actually correct? If he's the beneficiary of a family preference petition (as opposed to an immediate relative petition) even if he reenters with DACA Advance Parole and gains lawful entry isn't he still barred from adjusting status by INA 245(c)(2)?

I with my family got IV (Dv 2024), I am the principal and booked flight to travel to USA with my family (derivative or accompany) for the same. However, with unexpected reason I (the principal) unable to catch my flight and my family travelled (arrived to U.S before me}. So, what problem will come and what I (they) should do? Thanks in advnace for your kind support for my question.
