The thing I love about him is that you can see that HE loves playing the game. In our heart of hearts, we are all still the kids who loved playing ball. everyone at petco park were on their feet applauding bartolo for his majestic home run. it was like seeing a solar eclipse for the first time. he never played for san diego and there they are, cheering him on. clapping, bowing down, screaming, waving cardboard cutouts of his head. who else is so universally loved that he can get this kind of reception anywhere he goes? i dont know about the hall of fame, but his longevity and how much he is adored all around baseball should mean something when considering a vote for him. thanks for the memories bartolo! - met fan

If he even plays--nobody wants a 45 year old player but I tolerate Colon. Don't like him but I don't hate him. He's kind of like Adrian Beltre or Andrew McCutchen. Hell Derek Jeter fits into that category of respect.
