Answer to the chess puzzle is ☺ The incredible , deflecting move, Rb8 attacking the queen! If queen captures the rook, then Qa1 is a stunning checkmate! If queen does not capture and moves to safety like Qe7, supporting the rook and also preparing to jump to e5 if check is given, then it is completely winning position for white! White would have 2 options = 1. Rxf8+ if queen captures, then simply Qa1 checkmate! 2. Qa1 check. Queen is forced to block the check. Now we can simply capture the undefended rook, with the following mating moves!!
@belligerentapj36854 жыл бұрын
In the first option.. after Rxf8+ and Qxf8.. Qa1+ is not checkmate I guess as Qg7 is a block by black and so it's mate in 2. The follow up is I think White Qa8 Black Qg8 Qxg8# (which was guarded by bishop on c4)
@97736073394 жыл бұрын
@Priya H , you have missed one more possibility that is, what if after Rb8 attacking the queen! instead of taking queen to safety, black moves pawn to h6.now for White's Qa1 check black will have h7 square for king to move! isn't it?

Puzzle Rb8 , if black plays Qxb8 , then he is gone m let me show you how , white will play Qa1+ after Qxb8 and after Qa1+ Bd4 Qxd4+ Rf6 and Qxf6 will be a checkmate. After Rb8 a new variation is f3+ kf1 and black is forced to move the queen and after he plays the queen to e5 which is forced so we will just play Rxf8+ winning the rook , and after Rb8 f3+ kf1 if black plays Qe7 Qf7 or any moves which protect the rook so then we will play Qa1+ and it will be mate again , so the main line is Rb8 f3+ kf1 Qe5 (Black plays Qe5 becasue it is important for him not to allow Qa1+) and after Qe5 we simply take the rook and f8 and it’s easily winning for white Hope I did not made any mistake , if I did please tell me so that I could improve it

Solution to the puzzle Rb8!!! Sacrificing a whole rook for checkmate. The black queen is attacked but it has to keep an eye on tge Rook on f8 1. If black tries f3+, we can simply bring back our king to f1 or g1 and there are no more checks. 2. If black brings his queen to e7 to protect the rook, then white gan give a check with the queen that is Qa1+ and black is gone. 3. If black blocks with the Bishop, we will simply capture it, If Qe7, then white can trade queens and capture the rook and be completely winning, If Qf6, then white captures the queen and the rook won't be able ti recapture it as it is pinned to the queen. 4. If black captures the rook, then Qa1, is a beautiful checkmate. Tell me in the replies if I went wrong somewhere :)
@anuradhadutt11564 жыл бұрын
First we will place our rook on b8, if queen takes then e will check the king from a1 from our queen; finally rook blocks then we will capture the rook and it's a checkmate. Variation 2: After placing the rook on b8, if queen defends the rook from e7, then we will check on a1with the queen, if queen blocks the check from g7 then we will simply capture the rook on f8 and it's a checkmate.Or if black blocks the check from queen on f6, then we will capture the queen because their rook is pinned and can't defend the queen and we will gain a strong positional advantage. Or if black blocks it with e5 then we will capture the rook and again gain a strong positional advantage. Thanks sir

Solution to the puzzle is :- Lets analyze the position, we can se that the black king is trapped at one corner of the board helpless as he has no safe squares to go as g8 is blocked by light squared bishop at c4 and g7 square is blocked by the rook at b7 to check we can simply move our queen to a1 but the main problem is the black queen at e8 which can jump to e5 which is protected by d6 pawn so, the only logical move can be rook to b8 attacking the queen if queen deflects and captures our rook then queen to a1 is a check now no matter how black blocks the check say bishop to d4, we simply capture the bishop with a check,now if black blocks with rook to f6 we simply capture it delivering a beautiful checkmate. Going back if queen does not take our rook and moves to lets say e7,then we can capture the rook with a check if queen takes our rook then queen to a1 check , the black queen blocks it by moving to g7 then queen to a8 again check now no matter how black blocks by queen to g8 or f8 queen captures queen will be a beautiful checkmate. By the way nice video sir☺️

I think the answer is Rb8 attacking the queen. The idea is to prevent the queen from moving to e5 when Qa1 check comes. So if Qxb8, Qa1+ will lead to mate. And if black tries Qe7 to protect the rook and have the option of blovking Qa1+ with Qg7, you still play Qa1+ then Qg7 and Rxf8 is mate because the queen is pinned
