This build was a lot of fun to play. I loved not dying so much! I learned how to do a lot of the uber boss mechanics just by sitting in front of them and watching. I ended up swapping to something that does way more damage but dies 10% more often. I ended up playing with The Adorned and dropping some things like the Forbidden Flesh/Flame and that was fun to see ES number go big. The amount of game knowledge I have gained this league has been immense and your videos for this build have been a big part of it.

Imagine someone coming back to PoE with knowledge from PoE as it was back in 2018 or so. He's watching this and wondering what kind of game has this become now? Just funny to think about sometimes how this all evolved. I'm not sure it can keep going this way. Like something has got to give. The complexity of the moving parts has increased, but the upper end of power level is off the chart crazy. People make builds with several billions of damage or they make builds that basically cannot die to anything. Something that, in the past, would warrant a patch to fix when it occurred. Like I remember this one league where I sold my vaal immortal call on standard for hundreds of exalts before it got patched out months later. Now people reach this level of tankiness where they can afk everything that exist... and it does not get patched. Because it's complex to get to this point.

I have no clue how to get there and I don't think I will anytime soon (even if I had infinite currency hack because I doubt those items are even for sale). Tbf, chances are you have seen 10+div items - certain uniques with wide range which sell on max rolls, or fractured items with a sweet max roll mod (I found a quiver with max roll %crit multi this league). It's not always the chase items which sell big. Another way is knowing what ppl want and craft catering to them. As an example, a triple rarity helmet is done in under 5 div (minus bubblegum, bc c'mon, bubblegum is worth nothing this league, just run 1-2 abyss spired maps and you're good), only relies on altspam + regal hit, and sells for 12-15 div minimum

@@pleoschard disagree. While you probably won’t be farming valdos on a budget, you can “start” this build without all that. I have this build at about a 20 divine budget. I only have about 11k Es and I can literally AFK tank t-16 bosses no issue. Without mageblood or flasks up. The damage really suffers without the heavy investment, so you’re not gonna be setting any land speed records for map clearing, but you’re not going to die very often. The biggest worry is non-ailment damage over time. If it greatly exceeds your regen you’re gonna have a bad time. More investment would obviously help mitigate that more. I’ve had to get a lot more dex and strength due to the %attributes being so damn expensive. But a nice Astramentis was a decent stop gap in the mean time. It’s nice having such a giga tanky character and still knowing I have so much room for improvements still.

If you do any form of "union of souls" maps, you will eventually die from a stygian revenant and effectively be one-shot Happened to me twice. Stygian revenant do physical damage corpse explosions based upon allies life. With union of souls that life gets multiplied, and so does the pure phys damage that the stygian revenant does. Just letting you all know before you have 5 mirrors deleted like me

why are you acting like magic find is any less creative? The levels of juice laying people put into maps is as complex, if not more complex, than this build. You have to optimise wisp collection, you have to get +2 proj on an 8 mod map, you have to use the right sextants scarabs and atlas. And then you need a build capable of handling it, and that build itself has a lot of layers to it, most importantly is the balance of stacking MF vs damage. Because you need like 1b+ dps to handle those maps, which has lead people to playing much lower dps builds that are unkillable like fulcrum because the dps required on something like MF TS is impossible to reach for t16s, or they play in t7 maps. Trust me if you try slap together a random MF character for a few divines and start alch+go random maps, youll make no currency and die a lot. There's a lot of thought and creativity that has gone into optimising MF. Like people making a private league for the +2proj mod to MF and then transfer that over to the main game, that's insane and extremely creative.

Build gets hella expensive when you wanna start doing Ubers reliably, let alone Valdo's. I'm running it at under 50 divines right now and I got really lucky with cluster jewel crafting, so it's not horrible but you can easily put mirrors into this, it gets super expensive.

Way over a mageblood I'd say, and the mageblood maps if you didn't look into it are very pricey themselves. You don't really farm mageblood void maps unless you're already filthy rich and (likely) using a mageblood already. Source : I'm filthy rich, and would've never been able to run a void mageblood map without being able to : 1 - Risk losing the map investment (around 130div at the time I did it) 2 - Have a build capable of clearing said maps (can't imagine a build under at the very least 200 divines being able to do it with 100% confidence) If you wanna farm a mageblood, just farm currency normaly.

It's less about ES and more about mitigation and recovery, imo. Im this video his ES pool has never dipped below 25k. Partially because of how big that pool is and thus how effective is ES recharge after wicked ward proc. My wild guess would be 15k ES at minimum for relatively easy maps. At the very least, Lance has showcased this build when he had 19k ES, not 27k - and he was doing void maps on inquisitor with 10k ES(with energy blade active) prior to this character

there was a server disconnect. normally, if you log out your character instantly leaves the game, but during a disconnect, your character is still there, the game assumes you're AFK. So in the time it took to restore internet, his character died.
