The Impact of Beavers on Desert Wetland Restoration in Northern America
Exploring the remarkable role of beavers in environmental transformation, this video delves into how these industrious creatures are revitalizing wetlands in the deserts of North America. Despite the arid conditions, beavers have become key players in ecosystem restoration. By building dams, they not only create vital wetland habitats but also enhance biodiversity and improve water retention in these dry regions. This piece highlights the surprising and significant impact of beavers in shaping the landscape and fostering ecological balance in areas once dominated by desert terrain.

Beavers are amazing for certain. I laugh watching government agencies. One builds a beaver dam analog trying to encourage the beavers once eradicated to come back and another is pulling the real beaver dams out because it floods a farmer. I'm glad they are finding solutions to flooding to allow the beaver to do it's thing. It recharges the aquifers!

Beaver are highly underrated. Thanks for the video. Please stop using the jerky video with the lines and shake the video - it's so annoying to watch. In case you don't know what I mean, an example is at 1:34

one correction to the video: There are many records from indigenous peoples of beavers working during the day. They only became nocturnal after the fur trade swept through the Americas and they had to avoid human interaction.

bs. they have lots of predators which existed long before any humans came along. go to the most remote areas and beavers will still be working at night

They slow the water down so that it can sink into the ground and recharge the groundwater… aquifer… which in turn changes the whole area around for the better.

there is no better way than parachuting the beavers. The studies showed it was much faster than any other way. and the beavers enjoyed it. transport by truck of horse is very dangerous for the beavers because it keeps them out of the water for so long.

Does any one know if these rodents can survive the north african climate? Because we look forward to import and integrate them in the ecosystem as a solution to drought and flood.

Not sure about beavers Africa but you could look into something called beaver damn analogs. Essentially they are man made beaver damns

Good video but could be great or even glorious with higher quality images, photographs and video clips (especially high quality before and after images). As far as the commentator goes... did he ever take a breath? (Too loud, too fast, too intense... for me to share this vid)

Why are you trying so hard to make me go blind, flashing lights, making pictures grainy, cut, cut, cut, cut. These videos show me everything and nothing at the same time. Boo.
