My issue is that, can we keep comparing, a kingdom setup, with a democratic setup? Is the Bible applicable to the world or the church/spiritual Israel? Is the Qur'an applicable to a Christian? Until we are able to put a difference, between the government of this world & that is Jesus (the church) we may not adequately impact the nation of Nigeria. The lesser is blessed, by the greater. (The church) I strongly believe, this the greatest reason, we are asked by God, to intercede, for the leaders of worldly government. 1 Tim 2 : 1 - 4. But, it becoming difficult just because of our strong will. We must realise, all Jesus has said, will surely come to pass & no prayer can stop all He said, the world will pass away but, His word stands forever. God help us, the church.
