A video game not being able to take into account all parameters of a human relationship doesn't mean that Elliott is a creep, it just means that he's programmed to have limited responses while also still being wish fulfillment for people who enjoy romantic men... which is where his heart event comes from. Boat rides are one of the biggest clichés in romance. It's fine if you're not that demographic, but then at that point, you'd have no reason to pursue Elliott. So I'm not sure why people are so obsessed with hating on him while purposefully ignoring the fact that he wasn't written that way, he's just a character in an indie game created by ONE GUY who had to write thousands of dialogue options for each character. I didn’t know what would happen if you give the bouquet to another person while married so I wanted to test it out. Got Elliot one, gave it, got Elliot’s hearts up to ten and then the event came. I didn’t even know about the event, I was sweating so bad and I kid you not, accidentally pressed the “Yes” or “Yea” button instead of “No.” That was the day my character accidentally cheated on her husband and he never knew.
