Shmura matza is undoubtedly the closest we can come to the matza that our ancestors ate when they left slavery in Egypt. The flour and water used to hand make these round matzos are unique in that they are closely supervised and guarded from the time they are harvested and drawn.
The Rebbe emphasized the great halachic and spiritual benefits of this “bread of faith” and “bread of healing” not only to those who use shmura matza at their own Passover tables, but also to those who answer his call to ensure that each and every Jew has the opportunity to do so, too.
