Credit is nice for a car and house and a few perks with your card if you have one. Credit tempts us to buy things we can't afford. If you don't buy things you can't afford, you will never be in debt. Money offers freedom, credit offers a prolonged burden.

Knowing your Net Worth is far more important. Don’t borrow anything unless it adds value to a positive net worth (assets minus liabilities) in the long term. A good credit score is the icing. The net worth is the cake.

Been there done that not going to do it smymore. Why pay 2-3 times more something when you can pay it off right there and then. No payment. I pay myself the payment to get the money up for the next thing I want. I am my own bank.

I can't speak for everyone nor do I try to but from what I've heard is most people will "take cash" over credit cause of tooo much "interference" by IRS & creditors asking questions about how or why your credit score changed so fast etc etc - meaning we the people get punished by the creditors and what not for paying off loans "to fast" etc etc & the banks & creditors get "upset" cause they can't make $$ of the interest & payments & as a reward they still effect/affect our credit by to many early & on time payments & paying off to quickly - so most people would rather have the fast cash to go to do some things in life or enjoy some parts of life knowing that A) they have the $ now to do so B) can't really follow the cash trail like a CC trail & C) avoiding the fuss from the creditors & banks & irs asking about the $$$ while we have elected officials & other government employees hiding $ owe back taxes etc etc

Credit score just basically a reputation score with borrowing, you always slave to the lender and will generally pay more for something than it's actually worth, but its just a tool 🔧 to use to build financial portfolio and stuff.. some people avoid debt like the plague and others use it.. make sure you have that discipline thing if you use it, unfortunately most people don't thats why alot of America is overweight..
