Bill Johnson teaches on the importance of listening to God’s words over the world’s. Teaching from Paul’s first letter to Timothy, Bill highlights the danger of letting our hearts be distracted by the words of the world and meaningless arguments, and in contrast, the power of being locked into God’s word. In our world today there is so much to be distracted by, and we need to guard our hearts from meaningless arguments and idle words which is so common on social media. Paul reminds Timothy of his destiny in Christ, and the power of God’s Word in getting him to his destiny. We must also stand strong in the word of God over our lives as it is key in reaching our destiny.

I am in a difficult situation right now. I just prayed earnestly/passionately that I need to hear from God if he is with me. Otherwise I would not move forward. I have tried to write my experience 3 times, before I lost connection. I had a significant experience which is very similar to this scripture, in real life I have been drawn to pray every evening on the mountainside overlooking the ocean where I live. I come at sunset and pray, lately for Lahina, whose coastline is visible, along with Haleakala, on Maui, across the channel. Yesterday I uncovered an ancient rock “altar”, which gives a perfect vantage point towards Haleakala, and Lahina on Maui rising out of the ocean, and also at that time, the sun is sinking in the ocean. This is a time of the possibility of convergence, and harmony amongst the cultures, creeds, and religion. I know the Love of Jesus, has a place in every heart with union, not coersion. “When it me to Him is becoming more and more familiar, as I surrender, in loving aloha. Thank you for inspiring me to surrender for my miracle, at this crossroads for myself and so many. I Look towards you to guide me towards You, Lord, ever closer. Love never Fails, True Love never fails, as all my prayers cry out on the mountain overlooking the sea…Jesus🕊♥️🕊

@ 18:43 for 1Tim6:5 C'mon Bill. 'Gain' is the word always used for financial profit in all versions, acquisition. πορισμός (porismos) What's worse is the next verses following plainly say the point in context. v7-9 6 Now(thus) godliness combined with contentment brings great gain. 7 For we have brought nothing into this world and so we cannot take a single thing out either. 8 But if we have food and shelter, we will be satisfied with that. 9 Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. This is cherry picking. The context is: "RIches", "brought nothing in take nothing out"(wealth), "contentment"(obvious financial). This is about evil men looking for offerings and gifts. They are not obtaining godliness but "gain through godliness" You are better than this brother. Please i beg you. Why turn 1/2 the world away from continued poor eisegesis?
