I’ve been fishing for many years and never needed power poles. Anchor mode on the trolling motor however, has been a game changer for me. I’m most often in water too deep for power poles anyway.

Gotta be able to afford the boat first but the power poles are a must have once I do!

Hey Mike, I am wondering, on smaller boats where weight is a huge consideration, what power pole type and set-up is used? I have a Tracker PT 175 with the heavier 75hp motor so extra weight is a big deal. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the great content. I love your channel and especially the “In the Shop” series.

I don’t fish tournaments and can’t afford power poles but I do have a anchor that can do what these can’t do. It is also made out of metal but it’s at end of a 100’ rope and can hold in 30’ of water.LOL😎❤️🎣❤️

90% of the time I’m to deep to deploy but they would be great at the ramp when they take the docks out for winter my boat gets blown sideways and up against the rough concrete when I beach it on the ramp to go get my truck

Also, who would've believed 15-20 years ago trolling motors would cost over $2500-$4,000 dollars???? Ridiculous...pricing the average Joe and avid angler out of the fishing industry...good lord. Now if a Power pole could be bought for ~$750, that's a different story
