27th October is set aside to promote awareness regarding the importance of preserving recorded sound and Audiovisual materials.
Audiovisual Heritage includes films, recordings but TV and Radio, and photographs etc. When we preserve these materials, we ensure that future generations can experience the richness of our shared past.
In protecting audiovisual materials, you do not only safeguard memories, but you also keep cultural diversity alive and accessible for all.
