But the razer blade 15 is looking way better and that's what many people look for so this won't be the choice for editor's or people like that whats kinda sad. More weight would be ok for me for a cleaner and more quality kinda look. I am a gamer and music producer and i want to have both but the blade 15 still is my first choice just because it looks better. This laptop right here is more of a: I don't care how it looks, I will take it to the next hotel room, set it up and play thing. It doesn't have absurd thermals, don't let Dave's inability to test stuff properly fool you. Everything else you stated is correct. Thermals are in the high 80s going to 90s and throttle back down. As for looks, looks just as nice as the black razer. If it came in a silver would look better.

The razer blade just looks smoth and this one looks like a completely normal laptop. Hey Razer (and all other laptop manufacturers) see that keyboard layout with the navigation buttons off to the right so you can use full sized arrow keys without moving the shift button away from the letter keys. That's the right way to do it. Alternatively, the 14" ThinkPad and Latitude layouts are acceptable. Also, those plastic bits are for the wireless antenna. Most laptops made entirely of metal use the display as the window for signals, MacBook use the plastic hinge.

If you're still watching this in 2021 - I have just bought one of these laptops (XMG Fusion 15). I was really worried about the keyboard based on Dave2D's review, but it's one of my favourite things about this laptop actually. I really like clicky keys, the sound, the feedback, this is the first time I had anything similar on a laptop. And I have no issues with missing keys whatsoever blind typing - mind you, I'm an experienced and good typer.

If you have a bigger than 100wh battery in most cases you have to tell the airline so they know. For most airlines they limit to a maximum of 3 batteries, but emirates for example has no limit for over 100wh batteries. The absolute limit is 160wh actually where no airline will allow a battery bigger than that

I bought this laptop in Japan, where it’s called Thirdwave Galleria. From the very start I had problems with the trackpad. Half of it would stop registering touch intermittently and only the lower half would work. I returned it for a replacement which had the same problem. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, or if it’s limited to the Japanese version.

Ya know, i like this look, but I also enjoy the in-between look of Gaming Laptops. Dell's Inspiron 15-17 Gaming laptops from 2017 and 2018 were really my favorite designs in terms of look and aesthetics overall. It had the black and red, but the chassis and overall look were simple and slick enough to be mistaken as a normal, yet powerful notebook or ultrabook. But yeh, this thing is a beast, hands down. So from my knowledge of the laptop OEM market, I would guess that this machine is essentially a reference machine for other manufacturers. My best guess is that Intel contracted an OEM (probably Clevo) to make an intel reference design laptop, and then allowed this reference design to be used by other small oems that make machines for SAGER, Eluktronics, ProStar, etc.

@@Damenwave Base spec (gtx1660ti) is rm6000 and the recommended spec (rtx 2070) is rm7499 Both configurations are pretty cutomisable Both laptops aren't cheap by any means, but for rm6000 that's some monster specs you're getting there Especially since these brands of laptop (Eluktronics for America, Illegear for Singapore and Level51 for Malaysia) have their own unique advantages that makes them more appealing than the more premium brands like Razer and Msi (which have been highlighted by Dave in this video)

This seems like an immediate first choice for any gamer looking for a 17". Just a quick question, does the Magnesium Alloy Chassis seem as sturdy as Razer's Aluminum Chassis? Is there much screen wobble? It is just based on Clevo model. Same device with different logo named XMG fusion in Europe and Aftershock in Asia. It can be re-pasted the thermal as you want in factory. Good performance but bad quality control and warranty. I’d prefer Razer or ROG

I asked XMG about the thermals in this laptop. They are the euro equivalent of eluktronics releasing their laptop over there. They state the gpu by intels specs must be under 75 degrees and the cpu by their testing in furmark/prime (assuming at same time) reached 91 degrees. It seems the laptop is designed to throttle at 91 degrees. Dave just isn't a good reviewer. He's a flashy overview guy, but you aren't going to get real info from his videos. Those other 2 will have their review in a week or so once they do enough testing.

I want to do a live game stream too but I really want to have the final info to show. It is a really nice laptop, outside the panel comes with bright light really well. Speakers are perhaps the weakest point. For me thermals are easily controlled, as is the 75 deg Cap on the GPU.

Get this one. It have an special stuff called elekutroboost. Make your gpu scores 20 to 21k on firestrike. More than a 2080. It gives more wattage to the gpu work out. Serious. This laptop is almost perfect. Just wish the screen dont fail like some other units from this brand.
