@@ruffwm not much of a difference. I’m still gaining a lot of focus back to a point I don’t need to use potions at all. But I am seeing a slight difference in the focus gain… like for example before I was gaining almost double the amount of the rune cost from one attack and now getting slightly the same cost.

Use a great hammer. U can stun the boss in 2 throws. I used a grey weapon to have the throw and blink on it, and if you put an elemental anchantment rune on a secondary weapon, you can swap and still have the the effect.

@@OFAMOSO-PeDPano I found another ring that gives 27% damage to rune attacks. I took out one of the ring of calmness. And now since my damage is way higher I’m one hit killing everything, the last boss it takes 3 hits to kill a stage, I don’t even need to stun him, he dies to fast now.

Its possible after patch 1.0, focus gain enchant almost max on all armor (25-30%), topaz gem on helmet (20%) (, high focus gain on weapon (8+), 300+ focus on stats, focus gain on damage enchant on weapon(4-5%), . Very efficient still but not quite as easy to pull of. Combinable with with health gain enchants to get efficient life steal, but not as op as before with greatswords. 1h + torch is kind of the meta, but jeez this build is fun and effective.

Since you're stamina dumping anyways and probably have enough of a focus pool from the two rings, you can likely funnel all of those stat points into STR as well to scale the rune damage even higher. Fun build!

I actually made it even more powerful last night. I found another ring that gives 27% bonus damage from rune attacks. I just replaced one of the ring of Calmness and now I’m literally one hit killing everything in the game. The focus is still regenerating. I can now kill the last boss in 3 shoots. I’m thinking that if I didn’t added the points into the equip load or other stats and put them all into strength I might have do even more damage, but unfortunately I can’t respec.

@@LarryPuss you can stash xp vials in a chest, create a new save, take them out, load that save point so they refresh back in the chest and do that until you have as many xp vials as you want to upgrade a new character. You can also put the gear you min maxed and the rings in the chest and dupe them as well to give to your new character

I'm still trying to make this build work but is very hard (i have 650 focus points and 123% focus gain, but it's not enought yet to regain the cost of a fire throw). The problem is I am farming for a similar weapon for the last few days and I can’t find one, it’s not just finding the weapon it’s also enchanting it to get similar stats. @@LarryPuss yesterday night i swapped the fire throw with the ice throw and it was mindblowing. So maybe i found a little "hack" for the infinite focus build. Is basically the same loadout of this video but i use the Shattered Sun greatsword (26 STR 26 INT) with ice throw. You just need to throw your weapon till the boss is frozen, than use the basic runic skill of Shattered Sun. That skill has a lot of attacks and a very long animation (but u can hit with every attack while the boss is frozen). In this way you can refill your focus bar using "only" 100 focus points ;) I hope it's everything understandable, my english is not very fluid. Feel free to write me in pvt if it's not clear so we can talk abaout this build.

you should try it with the short bradiche axe.. it doesn't throw it, it swings it 2 times.. very fast.. hits just as hard as the thrown version but you can attack wayyyy faster.. perma stagger echo knight lol

The focus gain is not doing to good now. They nerf it a lot. The build still works therms of damage but you have to use a lot of focus potions. When you do get to the last boss, because it has a large hit box the weapon gains focus like before as in you don’t have to use a lot of potions, you will gain quite a lot of focus from damage dealt but in the rest of the enemies you will lose focus way to fast and will need to either attack with basic hits to get focus back or use potions.

@@LarryPuss Sure, but the luck should be from the weapon dropping and the enchantment rolls, not a a lot machine game I play 4 times for each gem in socket for taking the custom route. Very anti fun. Especially when I upgraded that weapon all the way from I-III BEFORE socketing the gem, so now it’s a terrible weapon that I’ve dumped tons of resources into.

Thrown weapon will get nerfed... for sure. If you think Fire Throw was strong wait till you get Lightning and Ice Throw. You literally rotate between staggering and freezing the Echo Knight. Throw does too much poise damage for a range attack. Get the highest damage weapon and just throw away.

@@ВикторК-у9э Ice throw and Lightning throw are 22 stat items. So you can start a new realm and rush into Nameless Pass to have a better change to get the weapons that has them. Lightning throw is from Curved Sword and Ice Throw is from a Rapier not sure about their name anymore. Or you can open the chest after Echo Knight which will award one rune and it can roll it.

it's random drop but I did had a lot of them. I have around 150 of Crucible runs at the moment and this weapon has dropped a lot but this one, that you see in this video has the highest damage so far.

Would you recommend going all common quality for the armor pieces or attempt enchanting?

As a start yes. If you just started the game it’s safer to go common quality with gems. Later game when you have more money it’s better to try to buy armour from the vendors and keep enchanting until you get the desired stats. For example enchanted armour can give you besides the basic armour and poise, percentage stats of armour and poise, you can get this stats together with percentage health increase or stamina increase, and then you can also add one more gem to make this even higher. So in conclusion enchanting can give you better results but it’s a gamble as it can also give you horrible results, so common with gems is safer at the start.

I’ve had it as drop many times, but a way to farm rings and crafting materials is to go to the merchant Greinnich and he will sell rings and materials. If he doesn’t have any rings or the ring you need you can create diferent realms and keep going to him in every one of them until you find the ring you want, if you upgrade his shop to level 3 you have more chances to find rings. You can also exit the game change the date to a day forward and his shop will be refresh, keep doing that until you find the desired ring.

This is basically how I defeated the Echo Knight last knight for the firsr time. Bunch of focus gain increase equipment and using one handed curved sword with Ice throw. I love it but Definitely OP. Maybe they could balance it a bit by increasing the focus cost or decreasing how much poise break/freeze it does

They will definitely balance it, the skill I mean. I’ve been testing a lot of builds lately and no matter what build I go, I still come to the throwing runes, they are just to overpowered and the fact that they can go in any weapon nullifies the whole purpose of the build path as you just put it on any weapon and go melt everything… the Ice throw is even more unbalanced as it freezes everything in 2 hits, the last boss will be standing still for you frozen in place while you dance around him.

It works on the damage part… in the focus gain it’s bad now, you need to use a lot of potions and the potions themselves also have been nerf from 300 focus to 150 per potion.

The armour for example I got it from a large chest in the Nameless Pass. One ring from daily bounty. The pants are actually bought from the blacksmith and I keep rolling enchanted until I got an acceptable one… and the rest yes from the crucible, but mostly as drops from normal enemies not the boss.

In terms of base damage, it should be the same. Now I’m not completely sure but from what I’ve experience the plague and fire act similar as they do a bit more damage over time after used, the electric one has better damage when you hit multiple enemies and in my opinion the ice is the most overpowered one as it freezes enemies in place… I mean I throw the skill at an enemy that was jumping to kill me and I froze him mid air in the most awkward stance possible 😂.

X_x how did you actually roll this item? i experiment alot with crafting, the chance seems to be arround 1/350 for getting both gains. But then there is still your high weapon roll. Did you use an item editor by any chance?

You are badly mistaken. The funny thing is I actually found another ring that gives damage to rune 27%. I replaced one of the rings of calmness with it and now I’m literally one hit killing everything. In this video you see it sometimes takes me 2 hits to kill an enemy and with 2 of those rings I now can kill them in one shot. The last boss in the run I can now kill in 3 hits, soo broken!! They will definitely balance this at one point but I can say with certainty that the first ring works.

the funny thing about this game is most builds are broken you can literally go full hp build and go with reflect setup and heal when hit and things die without you needing to do anything and the more hp you have the more dmg you can take and dish out while healing for more the higher ur hp so literally an afk build lol. this game wasnt made with balance at all in mind currently so they will either nerf everything or make things ridiculously harder that broken builds are mandatory.

I just ''completed'' the build, i have the same 2 rings (26% and 27% focus gain), all my armor pieces gives me focus on hit (full plate armor sitting on 800 armour) and the weapon is not the best one, but does the job done, considering im still lvl 27. And i dont know if its for the latest patch or something but, when i do normal hits the focus regen works fine but, considering i should have +100% focus regen on hit, when i use Fire Throw, it doesnt regen ANY focus... U guys are having the same issue? is just patched?

I literally just logged into the gate to test it and it still works for me. The “focus gain” stat is good and is increasing your focus gain overall but the most important one if you really want to look out for is the “ gain focus % on damage dealt” found on the weapon. So it should still work just as you see in my video… for now. I was working today on another build with focus regeneration and that one does not work at all, you are looking for focus regeneration then it’s not going to work, you need focus on damage dealt on the weapon and focus gain on the rest of your equipment.

It could be that you just need to use your the left cross buttons on the controller to reselect your weapon… but if not I’m not sure, it might also be a bug, the game is still in Early Access, give a review to the game and address the problems in the review this way the developers will definitely see it and hopefully try to fix it…

Everything is random in this game. The sword I got from a normal enemy in a Crucible run. And the focus rings: one from daily bounty and one from again Crucible run, normal knight. Also the sword was common grade, I enchanted it and it rolled this awesome stats.

Hello, i was wondering how could you have 161 HP with 20 health and negative 22% on weapon. Only HP perk i see being in the armor gem (+16%). I only have like 105 with 22 health stat

Just before the boss fight I eat “Sirloin Platter”. It’s a dish that you can craft by using quality meat and lithops herb. This dish gives you another 45 health for 600 seconds. The ingredients you can buy from Gordon the chef.

@@allitterazioneforzata1063 the drop for the weapon is random, it’s not form any vendor. You can find the normal throwing skill from an axe a the blacksmith but the fire one it’s from “climbers pick” weapon that drops random. When I said it’s from the start of the game I mean it can drop at any level, some items only drop when you are higher lever but the climbers pick can drop from level 1. Maybe try to get the normal throwing rune with no element from the axe at the blacksmith and keep farming using that until you find a weapon that has the element throw like fire/ice/electric. The normal throw also does a lot of damage.

Not bad, its quite safe due to the range but there is a better melee build, I cant give details due to nerfs so i wish to keep the build private ( Boo I know ) but it deals 280+ damage 1 on a single attack, I down echo in less than 30 seconds total, Build also comes with 1.4k Armor 240HP. Seems you got a ways to go.

Do you check the overall speed mechanic? Does it works? Cause i construct very fast attack speed build through daggers with lifesteal and it seems like unworkable mechanic - overall speed((((((

I haven’t, this is a strength build… however, I’m working right now on levelling a new character to try dexterity build. I did tried the rings that gives attack speed for a while though, I had 3 of them at the same time and I didn’t see any difference in attack speed.

I also found Lightning Throw rune later, so I’m guessing you are referring to the “Cold Throw Rune”?. If yes it’s because I haven’t found it yet. I notice that cold seems to be the best element to immobilize enemies, but with my current build as I also found another ring that gives me another 27% rune damage I’m literally one shot killing everything in the game with the fire throw build, even the Crucible boss dies in 3 hits.

hello, how can you have 161 life by having 20 points in health and a malus of 6% in health lol? (-22% weapon and +14% on armor) with 20 in health i have just 96 life and you have a malus of 6% xD

Just before the boss I eat a “Sirloin Platter”, it’s a dish that you can craft by using quality meat and lithops herb. This dish gives you another 45 health for 600 seconds. The ingredients you can buy from Gordon the cook.

You played terribly in the bossfight but won because of a broken mechanic. This video highlights exactly what can ruin games. This meta bullshit of just spamming one skill and removing all fun. I literally did this build but even more effective with ice throw since it freezes the enemies and the echo knight boss very quickly. I cleared the echo knight faster than you did by like 50%. But it's clearly a broken mechanic so I didn't continue using it. You shouldn't be able to play so poorly and still win against a hard boss like that. You didn't even need to learn to dodge properly. They could nerf the throwing weapon skills into the ground and it would still be effective but in a good use case from ranged. Currently it does more damage and uses less resource than any other skill and has more range and can be spammed, it's clearly just broken. It should only work on 1 handed weapons, use 150 or more, have a cooldown on the skill and a very slight nerf to speed, damage can stay.

The focus gain and throw cost has been nerfed. I used this build pre nerf and only needed one focus ring to spam my fire throw. after the first EA patch I have 7% focus on Dmg dealt, two rings, and 135 focus gain. I now have to use some basic attacks in between. It is still a very broken build.

It’s still working really good. What has been nerf is the pants, they used to give x% on focus used, now it give 5 max focus on focus used. So for example if you use blink the focus will still be consumed but if you use the weapon attack that gives focus % on damage dealt you will see your focus going up with each hit, especially the throw rune.

@@LarryPuss I just ran a crucible and added another ring, I was able to spam throw 80% of the time. I only lost focus a few times, but I killed the crucible knight with the spam np.

You need “get focus % on damage dealt”, if you only have focus gain it’s not going to do anything. The focus gain will increase the “focus % from damage” but on its own it will not do much of anything.

It depends on the str build, in the one I’m showing here let’s say around 150 focus should do it but If I’m being honest I would have not invested any points in focus if I knew I would find rings that give me 100 focus. Just having one of those rings should be enough.

There are 2 types of focus gain. One is focus gain in general that from all sources and the other is focus gain when you do damage. Now the damage one is also dependent on the damage itself, the more damage you do the more focus you will get. Also the focus that you get from the damage is not displayed on the character stats like the overall focus gain is. I hope they will fix this and add all the stats information in later patches but for now it’s not displayed.

The cat animation? Well made the cat illustration in adobe Illustrator and I animated it in adobe Character. I made mouth shapes for the major syllable and then I just add my voice.
