Can anybody match Wilt Chamberlain's aura in NBA history?
@zzzvain9710Ай бұрын
Thank for the footage of real GOAT. He is most kind and shy person but he knows how great he was. He said I gotta 1 or 2 more years in between the lines 😢 to McHale is most sad thing I heard. No one can say anything to his face dude at that time had 92 records without blocks and steals who was not recorded with them possible around 105 total records. Zeke said God he is big, u can see him tower the Shaq, Ewing and others. And most fun is Drexler laugh after saying he is GOAT and hear Wilt saying 65 to 70 ppg . That laugh is, he really knows that Chamberlain will do that.
@zzzvain9710Ай бұрын
He got the biggest applause that night. Crowd couldnt believe how big he is. 1 of the best All-Star break show ever. Funny how Jordan shrunk when Wilt palmed his shoulder, like a little child. MJ knows he will never be on that level thats why he looks into ground when Wilt stares him in the eye.

I honestly do believe when I watch Wilt Chamberlain on videos, there is an aura around him, when the video was panning with all the basketball players in it, they all blended in but Wilt Chamberlain just stood out, I've been saying this for years, and I'm glad there's finally a video talking about his aura, it's truly incredible. Like there's this one where Wilt Chamberlain a sitting and he said "My Prime versus his Prime how much money would you be willing to bet" and it sent shivers down my back! If I had to pick someone as the best ever I have to go with Wilt. He has the best combo of size + power + agility + stamina + skill ever. People don't realize this guy was like a Victor Wemby + Giannis + LeBron hybrid. He was an inch taller than Shaq and could run a 40 yard dash in 4.6. If Wilt came along today the sports media would explode into a frenzy. He could also pass and handle the ball like a guard at his size. He had a nice mid range fade away and bank shot at his disposal. Free throws is literally the only thing he was not elite at. Yet even with his bad FT shooting he still managed to be top 5 in total points, tied for first in PPG, and have the 4 highest PPG seasons ever. No player ever was elite at everything but Wilt may have come closest in being elite at all but 1 thing. Wilt is the only player to lead the league in all of these categories at some point: Scoring, rebounding, assisting, FG%, triple doubles, win shares, PER, win shares per 48, TS%, offensive win shares, and defensive win shares. By this I mean there is no one else where you will find they lead the league in all of them at least once. Wilt is also the only player to lead the league in 3 or more categories simultaneously multiple times. Many will try to knock his competition as being "weak" but he faced a hall of fame, top 75 all time player as his main position foe for a quarter of his career. Times Wilt faced season and playoffs included: Russell 143 times Jabbar 28 times Thurmond 64 times Reed 72 times *307 times / 1205 total games = 25.5% Wilt is also #1 all time in: season rebounds, playoff rebounds, season RPG, Rebounding titles, overall stat titles (even without the blocks counted he is), records held. If blocks were counted then you would also have most blocks titles, most blocks per game, most triple doubles, and most quad doubles ever. As far as "winning" goes that is an entire team accomplishment, players, coaches, front office. Wilt's teams lost 4 game 7s by a total of 9 points (2.25 pts per). A few bounces here and there is the difference between Wilt having 2 rings and 6 rings, but he would still be the same player he was. Wilt just has too many things where we can apply the term "the only player ever to" / "most all time" for me to ignore. You put this guy in any NBA era and he will absolutely wreck the league.

Did you see Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for about one second everyone else show mad love and respect never showed Kareem and wilt talking to each other or anything I always liked Kareem from his days at UCLA his time with the bucs and of course Showtime Lakers but Chamberlain is my favorite player of all time no disrespect to Kareem but he will always live in the shadow of the greatest center of all time a picture is worth a thousand words and in this video Kareem did not want to be nowhere near Wilt
@blueodumАй бұрын
Kareem was resentful, partly because Wilt commented that Kareem could have been an even greater player, but lacked the high level of intensity in his play that was needed. We have to remember that by the time Kareem came into the league, Wilt's knees were not in great shape - yet Wilt battled Kareem nearly to a standstill right until he retired. Also, Wilt was the only man I've seen footage of blocking Kareem's skyhook (at least 3 times).
@pibble9207Ай бұрын
There is sports rivalry but you’re missing the crucial context that they had beef in terms of politics and race. Wilt made negative comments about black women which Kareem was offended by, they had famous feuds about it. In terms of politics: Wilt supported the Vietnam war, Kareem was against it. Kareem supported the black civil rights movement, Wilt was against it. Wilt supported Nixon, Kareem was against him. Kareem has every reason to dislike Wilt.
@louisdawkins664Ай бұрын
@pibble9207 no disrespect to your opinion sir but you are getting in the things that has nothing to do with basketball if you personally we're not in there with them then everything you are saying is third fourth hand information that is strictly hearsay to say that a person has a right to dislike someone without you knowing either one of them personally once again no disrespect to you but that is Ludacris and personally I think very small-minded based on the things that you said you talk like you were actually amongst them and know firsthand and I seriously doubt that I was strictly talking has a basketball fan I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I know Wilts family well his best childhood friend Mr Vince Miller was my basketball coach in high school I was watching I was watching wlit when I was age 10 so all the things that you commented has nothing to do with what I was saying I don't know how you came up with all that irrelevant opinions about why Kareem snubbed wilt in that video
