I will miss you Dr Pol. I am a huge lover of animals of all kinds. There were times I would rather be with animals than people. And now at 69, it's just me and my dog. And are very close. She won't even let me go to the bathroom alone. She lays on my feet. I've watched every episode of your show and even the re-runs. I am sad not to see your show anymore. Several years ago I became friends with some people that had a Great Dane. What a personality, what a love. He made me understand why they are called Great Danes. He is now sadly a failing old gentleman who will soon be greatly missed. However, what a blessing to know such a wonderful dog. Sadly when I had to change television carriers the new one did not offer Nat Geo wild in a package we could afford. So thankful this popped up.

@pmac4779 I had Great Danes, too, and they are wonderful dogs. ❤️ Your giant breeds are such teddy bears, and if they aren't, the human has done something wrong! I have seen that happen with my Danes' brother because the girls that owned him coddled him and then treated him like something was wrong with him all the time. He became a fear biter. They didn't socialize him or have people over. So he became scared of everything, even other dogs. They ended up taking him to have his stomach tacked, and he died on the table. They were always so paranoid about him dying and his stomach flipping, and they had him on all kinds of medications for no reason. It was in their head!

Thank you for the memories. I can remember most of your shows over the years. When we were in Oklahoma for Christmas 2022, we stayed with my daughter, her husband, and 3 adult children. We had to have the channel with Dr. Pol on it on the TV. I am now 80 years old. My uncle was a veterinarian in a small town in Saskatchewan. He was one of my favorite uncles. He loved animals like Dr. Pol.

I grew up with animals all my life when Dr. Pol came on I was hooked. I looked forward to every show, I've learned alot thru the years of how to take better care of my animals and now I'm sad it's over but happy that the Pols have more life to live outside the show, it's bitter sweet for me as I'm sure it is for everyone that loved them.
