This game is based on a (very good) PS2 Hulk game called Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. A game that pre-dates prototype by 4 years. Free-roaming, robots, chargeable attacks, turning cars into boxing gloves...it is also why this game is probably one of the better movie tie-in games. A hell of a lot better than the awful 2003 Hulk game for a start.

A great Hulk game to check out is The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the Xbox. It's not based off any of the movies and Prototype's gameplay was inspired by it since they're both made by the same company. It is awesome. It's also one of the few Xbox titles that can be played on the 360. The Hulk 2003 game is also fun, in my opinion anyway, but it can be very frustrating (there are stealth sections where you play as Bruce Banner). It's not really that good of a game but I like it.

they did. it was called hulk ultimate destruction, it was on the same engine as prototype, and it was fucking awesome. It was a long game, there were dozens of special movies, the upgrades went on forever and there were a shit-tonne of bad guys. The graphics werent that great and the scenery was repetitive, but it was what i would consider to be a very good game.

Was this game any good? It's hard to tell with movie licensed games... I remember the Hulk game on Gamecube being a bit cheesy and repetitive, but still quite good for a licensed game since it took some influence from Spiderman's freeroam games.

The difference is that every studio that worked on a Call of Duty is or has been a in-house developer for Activision. The difference with this is that Edge of Reality is a independent developer meaning that Sega had less say in the delopment. The only exception to sega interfering with a independent game studios work was with Platinum Games and those goes were made to have Sega own intellectual property rights because of the Contract agreement.

@ShinySomeone The developers who made Prototype also made Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. They're called Radical Entertainment. Radical did NOT make this particular Hulk game though, basically some other developer lazily built off of what Radical already made. That's why this game isn't nearly as good as Hulk:UD or Prototype.

well, im really sorry if you feel bad for my comment earlier. i mean, look at the grass.. flat and glossy?? where the grass is? i dont see any other detail except hulk muscle and blooming lights on it.. shadow sometimes just disappear, and look at those tearing objects.. ive seen the city gameplay though.. the crowd is in too short distance to respawn.. the cab is like everywhere, its like its the first options to see.. i was expecting more from ps3 :/
