Harlan Bates was so obsessed with saving his town from dying he didn't think of the cost,which would've made his daughter an orphan if he got shot by an old hunter. Good that he came to his senses when he choose to save his daughter from falling down to the rocks below,thanks to The Hulk helping him despite the brief fight they had with each other. The old hunter was lucky that The Hulk didn't break him in two after shooting him in the shoulder while making a rescue.

People used to say this version of Hulk was a lot weaker understatement true. But bullets never really injured him. They just used to scratch him and he was fully healed within half an hour. More of an annoyance Fact He is just punched a giant rock in half while the Rock was rolling towards him and didn't Stagger him kept his feet firmly on the ground... yes he was a hell of a lot weaker then every other carnation of Hulk but still really strong. Judging by Reeve Superman if Hulk punch him the way he punched that rock could he Stagger Superman. I will say yes based on evidence that Superman has been staggered by equal. Superman 2 he was staggered by the bus. Superman 3 by a missile. Both similar forces. Don't get me wrong I don't think he could beat Reeve Superman. With all those powers but I think if it was just a physical contest Ferrigno hulk is clearly weaker but I think he could get Superman pin down but at least 10 seconds which is something to be said considering

Keneth Johnson. the creator of this show. felt that instead of making a cringy action show. Decided to make it a drama about a man that was cursed while also having a more realistic take on the Hulk. and Yes, Thor does appear but that was Stan Lee's idea since he wrote the Incredible Hulk returns. a attempt to bring back the TV series while also acting as a backdoor pilot for a Thor live action series. Same thing happend with Daredevil in Trial of the Incredible Hulk.

The Hulk couldn't resist helping to save a little girl even when he got shot in the shoulder over what he was accused of doing.

This version of the Hulk had a soft spot for children and animals, so, when he heard Amy hollering for help, his anger at the father was forgotten and he was "happy" to help save her life. Remember that this Hulk's base personality was from Banner. As Banner also liked to help children, that meant that the Hulk would as well. Animals (especially rabbits) were a plot device to calm Hulk to the point that he reverted back to Banner. Compare that with "Frye's Creature" who was more than willing to kill those who crossed him. Because Dell Frye was so bent on revenge, when he regained his ability to transform, folks like Brad who tormented Dell ended up being killed by the "Savage Hulk". (I do not consider Banner's Hulk to be as savage, given that 99% of the time, those who caused the Hulk to emerge ended up tossed instead of being further injured and there were episodes when someone would fight back and Hulk merely pushed the person back...not wanting to hurt them).
