The Eucharist is the main reason I wanted to become Catholic. I grew up in church and I would take communion but always felt like something was missing I guess, but I could never pin point why. Fr Mike Schmitz Bible in a year is what sparked an interest. When I seen that Franchis Chan did a big public apology about how he had been wrong about communion all these years and what the early church fathers taught, I really couldn't wait to be able to partake in it. I was super frustrated about it at first but in the end it was worth the wait. I had the privilege of knowing full well what it truly meant before I received holy communion. I would get emotional and tear up for the first several times. April 8th will be a year since I converted. Sadly I let the cares of this world get to me and haven't partaken in the Eucharist for a couple of months. Ash Wednesday was my first mass in that long as well. I'm going to the stations of the cross this Friday and going to confession afterward. This Lent means something to me that it never has before and this video is a reminder of my love for the Eucharist and I can't wait to be able to partake again.
