Damn, as someone who's felt like an outcast my whole childhood and teenage years, and ended up a shut in doing nothing but playing videogames, watching anime, and fapping to pornography, this really hit me. During my first years of college I decided to step up and get out of my confort zone still depressed. I improved who I was, but still had my bad habit of being an outcast who felt no one would like me as somehow I needed people to love me before I loved myself. As the journey went on I literally got tormented by some sociopathic/narcisitic dude who wanted to prey on me because he finally found someone weaker than him I guess. He fought me to prove he was stronger and won. At this point after that I was traumatized and told myself that putting myself out there was pointless because other people are monsters. Somewhere down the line still depressed, anxious, and shellshocked I had an epiphany. I don't know exactly why I did, but I'm sure it had something to do with realizing how pathetic other people were as well. That psycho and his friend group were all toxic losers who hated themselves. Last time I checked on their lives after they dropped out of school they were all lost. I also realized that my own mind was my worst enemy. For every 10 victories it took one defeat for me to feel like a completely worthless looser. I know life is different from an anime, but a reason why these characters are strong is because they developed a strong mind first and foremost. I basically hacked my own mind to think about my victories more and how my defeats made me STRONGER. Ever since that day I stopped being afraid of confronting people. If someone wants to be an ass to me or someone I give a shit about I'll stand up to them! If someone wants to fight me or a loved one I'll FIGHT THEM! I don't care what happens to me. If I get hurt I'll heal and be stronger! If I die I'll DIE! I would rather happy knowing I was able to overcome my demons instead of living with regret! I WILL NOT REGRET!

I first started learning more about how pain and defeat can better you when I was 11. I started running as a sport for the first time. I got dusted in almost every race I tried. Mind you this was cross country. So at that age I think it was 2 miles. I always did bad and never thought I could do any better. I always had the mindset to quit, why am I here? I always gave up. The next year I wasn’t doing that anymore. I finally decided myself together, Back then I was slow running about 17:30 for two miles. That year I got it down to 12:50 for two miles. Just this next week I’m going to states for cross country and regionals for baseball. Never give up, set backs happen. It’s how you respond that matters.

I never cry. But this hit something so deep, so ingrained into my soul that I cried both tears of such palpable sadness for what I am and where I am; But also tears of blissful hope. That I too posses the indomitable human spirit just like everyone else. And that it isn't about becoming the best or getting to the pinnacle of the mountain, but the sheer grit and willpower and LIFE that is GETTING TO THE PINNACLE. We won't all make it to the top, other wise the top would be meaningless if we could all get there. But EVERYONE can CLIMB AND STRUGGLE FOR IT, and THERE IS LIFE IN THE STRUGGLE THAT ISN'T FOUND AT THE SUMMIT OR THE FOOT. A GEM THAT ONLY THOSE SCALING THE MOUNTAIN CAN SEE IN ITS FACE.

This video is literally the reason why ai could never truly be human, they can only act. The human spirit all lives in one of us, for some of us, it burns brighter than starlight, for others a small fickle little flame, but even so, it still makes all of us human, and robots cannot gain that, cold robotic beings with no light behind their will. The indomitable human spirit is a flame we all wield, from birth to death, it’s wether you nurture it enough or not.
@Avetho8 ай бұрын
The indomitable human spirit comes from us all having an eternal human soul, when the chips are down and we have something to live for, something to fight for, we push so far beyond what we thought were our limits that we do something incredible. But that's the thing, the eternal human soul is something the machine lacks, we can't breathe life into our machines, they can only mimic what their creators do and only if programmed to do so, or programmed to do what they're commanded and then told to do so, AI can only ever be as smart as mankind's greatest and no further, but as the sum of our parts it can't even reach the greatest minds of man since it also takes in our worst, and with no driving will, a mere machine can't even decide to do anything beyond the system it was designed to work within. Great are the works of man, intelligently made man, bearing true free will to do great and terrible things, to do works of immense good but likewise capable of immense evil.

@@MothdoodlezFor you to simply write it off as a meme.. No, it is the truth, humans must reinforce their spirit. Without our indomitable spirit we are just hairless apes. We are born not to survive, but to thrive
@petrusv87528 ай бұрын
@@Mothdoodlez it IS just a internet meme. but all memes are ultimately based off of something very REAL. people call it the indomitable human spirit, but what it really is is the intense desire to not just to live, but to thrive. if you look closely you find it in every living thing around you. A cat with missing fore-paws that learns to walk on its hind legs, a tree almost fully uprooted by wind that has survived and grown skyward once more, a helpless wasp in a web fighting off its captor with all that remains of its poisoned and doomed life. It IS just a internet meme, but that doesnt mean it isnt real or meaningful. Perhaps you will never need to struggle to thrive, and that is a good thing. just keep it as just some internet meme in the back of your mind for the day you may need because it WILL be there, if only in some small way.

I feel like I now can do things I weren’t able to do before, but only listening to this video. But I wanna reach my goal to be able to do things I can’t do right now. From a wise man once told me that “working hard on yourself is the greatest thing a man could do.” I want to put that into my own mindset and become better. I want to be better. I want to be the best. I recommend listening to the “Are you just living day to day?” video. It makes me feel alive and want to do things. I will not try to give up. I will try my best and be better and stronger. Thank you so much for listening to my goals and wants. I hope you and whoever needs you to get better, healthier, and live longer. Farewell.
