When a celebrity overshares (especially a female rapper or singer) they attract low vibrational low life stan accounts. Then their image is more about them and not their music, which is what makes their music sales not match up with they online hype and followers. Being active online and showing your personality is one thing and I feel like it lets people make a connection to a celeb but oversharing can be toxic. 😁😁
@Lukass18962 ай бұрын
I actually like it when celebrities and musicians are active online and we can be closer to them and know more about what is going on behind the scenes. I think that this part was missing in the old days, before the social media, and sometimes because of that a lot of abuse was happening behind the scenes...
@DonAnjelo2 ай бұрын
I think oversharing and being active online are two different things. I too like when my favs are active online. Honestly tho u don't need celebs to learn about what goes on behind the scene. The mystique is what made the concept of celebrity seem appealing. It felt unattainable which made you as the consumer want to interact more with their work/art. Now everyone and their dog can be famous. I do appreciate some celebrities like Lorde, who still writes blog entries and is rarely online. When she releases music, it feels like an event because we as listeners hardly hear from her, so it makes us want to invest in her album to find out what's been going on with her.

When Nicki was held up in Amsterdam and all she had was THAT LIVE, I learned to value "oversharing". Nicki again had her house raided by cops because of stan accounts. She also had her food mishandled because of a mole in her camp. Even cardi mentioned how random pizzas were being sent to her property. It's almost as if there is a target on Nicki's back. We cannot ignore the consistency of direct threats to her life. Yes, to the extent of the rants, definitely, a talk is necessary. But celebrities' lives are consistently being monitored against their will. Look how Kendrick was allegedly able to get a drone over Drake's house?! Even a normal person can do that, unfortunately. Right now, the climate FORCES "transparency" which, I see can be interpreted as "oversharing". Who was gonna believe Nicki without that Live?! I have never been the same since we watched her go through that and not even 1 CELEBRITY came out to say "Girl, we're praying for you". ALL Nicki had were her Barbz! She was on a different continent and all she had was, us: random people on the internet who were calling the police station and trying to find info on her. I need her to stay on the internet and be a normal shady, messy person like the rest of us on the internet. I need her to share her family dates like we randos share our family dates. At this point, only us barbs who know when she's being a celeb and when she's being JUST LIKE US, which is why we've been with her since myspace. And she's still on top. Respectfully.

People want to ignore what has and is happening to Nicki. The fact that an “titanic” executive was offering 250k sign on bonus only if the artist dissed Nicki says a lot about how fearful and envious people in the industry is because she sets the bar for female hip hop to high for their corporate puppets (artist who admitted they were approached: Lady Leshurr, cupcakke, and Angel haze.)

Good evening: In my opinion, over sharing is needed & not needed. Nowadays these celebrities share stuff no one needs nor wants to hear. It's just to seek attention, be glorified praised, acknowledged & to stay relevant. On the other hand, over sharing is a good thing cuz it might help in someway. You literally get to know, the person without actually knowing em. Just by their actions & feelings. Some know that's a way to get attention. So they take that route. That girl was so phony, I didn't even see 1 tear. She deserves to get sued. Obviously, Cardi doesn't know she's a narrssatic person. She be making herself look stupid. Other silent ppl Doja Cat, Eminem, Billie Eillish, Jay-Z, Oprah, Zendaya, Mary J & more. This is 1 reason I'm very low-key. Loved this topic & video. Great video 🙂 😊...!! Goodnight 💤💤

This is a perfect example of why celebrities like Beyonce and Britney Spears till draw so much attention for things they do. Obviously Britney went through a time where he personal life was crucified in the media but since then we have barely known anthing about it besides the conservatorship. Beyonce has always been silent about her personal life and only allowed us to see beyonce the star, even to this day with the prevelence of social media we barley get to see anything about her life. Thats what makes them interesting to so many of us

This is a bad take. The silence of celebrities is why Diddy and other abusers were able to thrive in Hollywood. Maybe instead of going back to the way things were done in the past (being silent) maybe we as a society are moving towards celebrities who speak up. Not only about their authentic experiences but also about the experiences of others. You sound like these MAGA people…
