“Energy production in cells is an incredible event.
Scientists give two different mechanisms as examples to explain this.
The first similarity is the dam.
If I open a hole on the top of this plastic bottle, water will not gush out with pressure. Because there is not much water on top.
But if I open a hole at the bottom, water will gush out with the pressure of the entire bottle.
The water accumulated in the dam lake gushes out with pressure in a similar way and turns the turbines.
The energy of motion comes to the generator.
And electrical energy is produced.
This is the first mechanism.
The second mechanism:
This is the classic 8-cylinder Ford Mustang engine.
The two events that happen in the dam and in this engine are exactly the same, but they happen in the mitochondria in our cells.
We can call mitochondria the energy powerhouse of cells.
Energy is produced by the ATP Synthase motors located on the outer walls of the mitochondria.“
