The Infinite Value of Jumuah Prayer - Nouman Ali Khan

This Khutbah was recorded on April 8th, 2016 at the Islamic Center of Irving.
Explaining the few ayat in Surat Al-Jumuaa dealing with the Friday prayer, Nouman Ali Khan emphasizes the importance of observing those few hours every week and how valuable they are to the entire Ummah, which encompasses all races and ethnicities. According to Allah’s words, the sermon is part of the prayer and should not be taken lightly because it is a reminder teaching us the value of repetition, reinforcement and the need to hear again and again what we already know. This is how the Ummah gets connected and unified.

@everyone, Hey, I missed the friday sermon before friday prayer but still made it to the prayer before they started due to an important meeting. I had to rush lol. But my mother says that if I missed the sermon from the very beginning, my entire friday prayer doesn't count... Does it count or does it not?

pls could someone answer me this- during ramadan in all my 5 prays, taraweeh pray, gave charity , while breaking the fast i made duaa for allah to give me shifa and now after the ramadan i have had bad news that i have a new illness i have to deal with i have read that whoever fasts and is breaking his fast makes a certain duaa allah will accept it. so why didnt allah give me shifa and why did he give me a new illness??

this is gift of Allah for you my brother, because this is erasing all your sins. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “For any adversity a Muslim suffers, Allah erases some of his sins, even though it may be no more than a thorn pricking him.” (Related by Al-Bukhari). One more hadith: Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that Allah’s Messenger PBUH said, “On the Day of Resurrection, when people who have suffered affliction are given their reward, those who are healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world.” (Al-Tirmidhi, 1570) In other words, when people see how much reward is given to those who suffered in life, they will wish that they had suffered terribly, in the worst possible ways, so that it might become a cause of forgiveness for them in the Hereafter. My brother, believe that whatever Allah does is best for you... He accepts dua in the best way... don't be hasty. trust Allah and be patient.. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “A person will still be answered so long as his du’a’ does not involve sin or severing ties of kinship, and so long as he does not become impatient.” It was said: O Messenger of Allah, what does being impatient mean? He said: “Saying, I said du’a’, and I said du’a, and I did not receive any response, then he becomes frustrated and stops saying du’aa’.” Narrated by Muslim (2735). Also, do check out the life of Ayyub (upon whom be peace). He is a role model for you. there are video about him on youtube

uzair shahid brother this is all good, but now i have this new illness, every marriage proposal fades, the ppl do not want me. what to do then, im way over my age for marriage i cant live with my relatives forever. nobody wants an incapable spouse. b4 marriage was difficult and now its impossible.

Think of it this way. Allah loves you so much, he loved the fact that you turned to Him several times each day with such sincerity so much. He wants you to continue doing so, that's it. Also, it is indeed true that all prayers made at that time are accepted, but my dearest, Allah has his own "time" of granting you shifa and blessings. We as humans, want everything we ask for right away. May be the delay is Allah's way of teaching us patience. So please don't lose faith. Keep praying with ever increasing conviction. Cry to Almighty and I have absolutely no doubt that soon you will taste the fruit of your Sabr. And don't forget, diseases wash away our bad deeds! Allah is actually cleansing you. Please remember me in your prayers. I hope and pray that this illness of yours brings you closer to Allah. May Allah grant you complete shifa. May Allah ease your pain and help you through the trails of your life. May Allah, in compensation of what you are going through, reward you beyond your imagination. Ameeen Ya Rab. BarakAllah lee walakum, Wassalam o alaikum.

I made a dua while I was yoùng and Allah answer it after 20 years. pĺease be patient mày be patient is yr test and your worship shoulđ not have any condition but when satàn whispèř puting doubt on you seek protection and ask Allah to give you patient in your I'll or sadness and in the mean time increase your worship, Seek more forgiveness specially in the morning, give more charity and ask Allah to make you understand your fate and and on the practical side seek medical help in yr illness and you will see result.please note your prayers has not gone wasted in the site of God.
