This case is very similar to the case the movie A Child Too Many was based on. Except it happened in the USA. The surrogate also found out she was carrying twins, the couple she was a surrogate for already had 3 sons. After intially telling her they would accept any child conceived, after finding out they were twins,they told her if the babies were girls they'd take them both, if one was a girl & the other a boy they would only take the girl, if they were boys they wouldn't take either. The babies were a boy and a girl. They tried to talk them into taking both, but the couple only took the girl and left the boy with an adoption agency. Surrogate & her husband went and took the boy back & then took the couple to court to gain custody of his twin sister and were successful. Surrogate's name was Patti Nowakowski.

India was the other legal surrogacy behemoth. Where gestational dormitories housed groups of pregnant Indian women as their bellies swelled. But the industry lost a chunk of its market when the country banned surrogacy for gay couples and single parents in 2013. Around the same time India recriminalized gay sex. Recent revisions to the law have effectively banned foreigners altogether. As India’s laws tightened, clinics there quietly began sending the Indian mothers to Nepal to give birth. Many eventually shifted their entire operations over. The two countries share an open border. Allowing citizens of either country to cross without registration. No laws existed on surrogacy in Nepal, so there were seemingly none to break. Nepal’s underground surrogacy operations came to international light after the earthquake last April. When news reports detailed the evacuation of western babies born to surrogates. But Nepali officials had known about the growing market since the previous November. But since other countries are starting to provide the same services at a cheaper price. Like in Kiev, Ukraine, they are so affordable with quality services.

Everyone should have a right to have a child. The surrogacy industry must have organized in a proper way. Surrogate mothers should suffer or feel any inconveniences. And of course they must have medical control and special medical indications that let a woman to be a surrogate mother. When I suffered infertility the unique option for me was surrogacy. I did surrogacy in Ukraine, and I did not regret at all. We had a wonderful surrogate mother. Our surrogate mother was under medical control and lived in good conditions. She also signed a contract with us and was aware about everything. I am sure it is better not to take a risk and do surrogacy in Ukraine or maybe other country but not in Thailand or India, where surrogate mothers live in horrible conditions.

You can be cold hearted towards something you consider a product as a result of a purchase. When it comes out wrong, you don't want it. You want what you paid for.

Serious question here, why do people living in such an over-crowded, 3rd world country, keep having more babies? If you lived in a country where you could barely feed yourself, surely you wouldn’t bring children into that?

Well, there are many issues with Indian surrogacy industry. I really didn't consider it for my sister at first. I'm preferring going to Kiev, Ukraine for it. My sister is considering surrogacy, she had India on her list. But, now we have moved forward due to lack of standards and other issues in India. I've heard on NEWS. I think people should try clinics in Europe or USA.

This is so very sad! I have never heard of Indians abandoning their babies. These biological parents shows no remorse for leaving their baby behind and they have gotten away with it scot free which makes me quite upset.

Indian girls are abandoned all the time in India. One of my friends sisters was adopted from India, she was found in a garbage can. She came to America with a load of other abandoned Indian girls.

Sounds like they did a personal decision to adopt the son out, even if there was some money changed hands to defray medical costs, which the adoptive family would have had anyway. As long as the little guy was taken by a good family, leave it alone, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

The issue is they don’t know if the people who took him are good people, or if they even actually adopted him. And whoever does know refuses to talk about it. So he very well could have been trafficked for all we know.

And there hearts are closed to there son . it's disgusting. Some one should remove all there ki!d. Shamful

BlackSpider4 UNIVERSE peace. Are you dumb? The Australian family wanted a girl and abandoned there son it's a white famipy not Indian gtfo of here with your racist ass comment
@sheriannakristelle64746 жыл бұрын
Actually the case would be totally the opposite if they were Indian. They would have abandoned the girl and taken the boy. So this couple is definitely Australian. Majority Indians treat female babies like a huge burden and worthless.

@thatgirllNancyy , bigotry and racism are different. Racism carries the components of weath, power. Racism carries a superiority complex and makes laws that benefit those who make these laws. Bigotry is just simply; I don't like you because this, that, and the third, so I'm gonna lump all into that group. People need to truly understand the difference of these words. They are not the same. Incorrect usage diminishes the true meaning behind the word and lays wake the people who have struggled, suffered, and died because of it (its real meaning and function in this world).
