Such a lovely breed. Appreciate the upfront info. Documentaries are a handy go to but first hand experience from Pap owner very helpful. Thinking I might like one of those little Smarty Pants by my side navigating the many performance activities. Thank you for sharing.

We couldn’t agree more with every word. We have three young (under a year) Papillons, Elliot, Elvira and Darby. They are inseparable and so much fun to live with.

We have 4+2, so even more fun! 4 paps and 2 pap mixes (we think). 5 of the 6 are rescues.

I have my hands full with two! Granted, one is still a pup but they keep me hopping. I love my locking stroller. They are so little and other people can be so irresponsible. It's not just other dogs you have to watch out for, I have had kids and adults grab at mine. My big girl is only 5.5 lbs and I am afraid if anyone did grab her she might nip and then I would get sued.

My own little treasure is just eight months old and beginning to get her beautiful regal papillon coat. Would you recommend that I get another? Especially as yours are a wonderful team and learn from one another.

I do recommend having two, since they will be running mates and playmates. When I only had Luc, I really felt he needed a little friend, so I got Callie :)

Well Papillons are feisty. I get growled at at least a couple of times a day by each one!

I uSed to have 2 papillons several years ago. They were special to us. They made the family happy. Our female protected the other dogs. One night she passed away protecting the other dogs. One was a large dog. She got attacked by a coyote. Would love to have another one in the future.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Coyotes can be a real problem.
