I really enjoyed this video! Very informative and well produced. Also kudos for the subtitles! I'd just like to add that the A-10 faces two kinds of possible 'replacements'. The ones newer, more techy and expensive and the ones simpler and lower cost, like the A-29 Tucano, which in fact can and has replaced the Warthog in roughly 70% of its original missions due to its simplicity, capability and operational cost. Suggestion to cover that formidable aircraft too! Subbed 👍

Politely disagree - the Tucano can be shot down with infantry small arms fire. The A-10 is virtually impervious to infantry small arms, most medium mobile arms, and can survive sever damage from AA weapons. Put a price on making your enemy afraid of just hearing the sound of your aircraft. Can that be said of the Sucano?

Fun fact: the GAU-8 can be utilized as emergency laxative for enemy ground troops 🙂

The A-10, like the B-52, was designed with a singular mission, a singular goal. Unlike so many aircraft that started out with a singular purpose, but ended up being designed by committee (bunch of military, bureaucratic, upper echelon who who want to include their ideas) the A-10 closely followed the original design purpose and ended up far superior to anyone's original imagination. That's why it ( and the B-52) has remained, while lesser aircraft have all gone to the scrapyard. The beautiful Warthog cannot be replaced, although many want to tell us that it is outdated, but cannot show actual proof or reason for that. When our ground troops hear the sound of the A-10 they pump their fists in the air and cheer. When enemy troops hear the sound of the A-10, they piss their pants and run. Show me another aircraft that elicits that result.
