The Implications are massive. Red Line (man made), reverse mountain (artificial or there is a big moon stuck in stationary orbit) , Jaya's final skull shape (could be a message to the futur generation). It becomes highly possible the World government tried to drown large portion of the globe at once but got stopped by the original founders of fishmen island. My supposition is that the level of the 2 seas got balanced when they opened the hole under Marijoa. The large drain must be connecting the 2 seas but with valve and maybe pump. What if the calm belt are 2 artificially not deep oceans with a futur purpose (at least for the Tenriyubito) like the red line : to drown only 1 sea at a time. It would explain why the last Poseidon would give the order to protect those patch of sea.

The problem with this theory is that calm belt, although there is no wind or water current the water would still go into the Calm Belt and the East and South blue. Wind and current doesn't stop the water level rising in the calm belt and if it did the grand line part of the ocean would be elevated hovering beside the calm belt.

If this theory is correct, then the Water levels of the new world have achieved a balance right now, since paradise reach a cut-off point, which is the drain. But now comes the fun part. It would be possible to see this as a giant equilibrium system. First thing to note is that something falling though a planet is basically a pendulum. So the exit would need to be closer to the center of gravity of the planet (which the theory already implies). And wind resistance could be eliminated with a temperature gradient, which creates a wind that basically helps pushing the water through the planet. The only thing left is explaining how reverse mountain works and how water distribution from the new world the 4 blues happens (cough cough all blue cough cough)

I think another way to increase the sea level could be to destoy the Red line. It would work the same way as putting a chunk of a solid in a glass of water. The hole in Ennies Lobby would mean that there's an excess of water so only once enough water has dropped down or filled it, it would stop from falling on it. I guess also taking down the correct kind of Sky islands into the sea would make the sea level go up.

I just assumed the ground was unstable or something and the aquq laguna just softens the ground even more causing it to sink more, but i guess rising water levels would make more sense, if you ignore the fact of how deep under water the city is compared to how old it could be, and the fact that no other islands seem to have experienced this issue that we are aware of.

I can see the Fishmen actually rescuing the people of Grand Line who are trying to escape the flood with their Noah. I can also see people who don't like Fishmen refusing their help and end up dying to the flood paralleling with the actual Noah story where people who didn't believe in Noah ended up dying to the flood. This makes sense (to me) because not everyone in the Grand Line can fit in the Noah but a decent portion probably can. This will also help the Fishmen merge with the humans as many of their 'haters' would have end up dying so they would live with people who love them since they saved their lives. They might even end up being viewed as saviors, solidifying their safety in the future. BUT would Oda actually end up killing unnamed random characters we've just met? I think not .-.

I don't really remember this but I'm pretty sure there was something Shanks said to Luffy about devil fruits and why he has a particular distaste for them. He realizes this is an issue and he thinks it would make for a better pirate, in the long run - when everything is flooded, than having a crippling weakness that is the inability to swim. It's super important for these pirates who want the one piece treasure to be able to swim and find all these lost ruins due to increasing sea levels. As it is of course, there isn't a single way and Luffy will have the support of his crew so he can circumvent this issue. But I think he would be an even stronger pirate long run if he never had a swimming deficiency. Edit: my thoughts are kinda everywhere if I said something confusing - ask because I can clarify.

So what about connecting this theory with the whereabouts of Raftel? If we accept this theory as the real deal, there's more water pumping into the paradise part of the grand line then out of it. So if this whole thing is like a rotary motion, there will be always water which get pumped in and always water which get pumped out. But logically there is always more water which get sucked in than pumped out, at the same time, as clearly shown in your CBS clip. We see this huge drain and huge water masses which get sucked in but on the other end of the tube, there is just a little portion of the masses of water that got sucked in, because the water needs to travel the tube before it gets out. If we are taking that time, the water needs to travel the tube, into account then we could argue about the fact that raftel lies at deep sea level and that roger and his crew found raftel simply because they were at the right place at the right time. They got to see Raftel and enter it, simply because of that natural phenomenon. SO then what about the fact, that this whole cycle of water getting in and out means that people can find raftel only at a certain time or certain period of time in which the sea level is low enough to enter raftel, that would kinda explain why nobody ever before or after roger found raftel because the period did not have a whole cycle and so the sea rose again and raftel would be untraceable.

The amount of water that leaves the new world is the same amount that enters the new world in the same amount of time. Otherwise it would violate basic laws of hydrodinamic. Look up for Bernoulli's equation and the fluid continuity equation. Although Physics don't really apply well to One Piece, sorry for making you lose your time.

The problem is that this one doesn't make absolutely any sane from physic standpoint. Unless calm belt isn't some kind of magical barrier zone there is no way it wouldn't allow for water level alignment. And thanks to the hole under Mariejois all seas should have equal water leavel. And then the problem with Enies Lobby. For it to work as in your dam example, it would need exit located lower than sea level. And such place is hardly anywhere in one piece world map (unless one piece globe have some serious difference in gravity pull). I would propose some more logical explanation. Maybe under the seafloor, one piece globe is riddled with enclosed cave system, mostly filled with water, rarely connected to surface by places like Enies Lobby. Somewhere in those caves would be places where water heats up and by create pressure it's shoot out back to sea (for more extrem form of this i would point to knock up streams). For this to work and not push any water back in Enies Lobby, the places that would pump water back would need to work in very peculiar way (explosive like way in interval timing would be fitting (that is if exit collapses afterwards so water just do not pour back in)). So finally if water level is rising maybe there is more water pumped out of that cave system then it's falling into it. But then again it's one piece and under Enies Lobby there can be doors created by awakened door door fruit user... :)

Hey Joyboy, this theory is rly mindblowing! As your observation Haki forsaw I rly rly enjoyed this theory! :D But there is one single flaw in it and after reading the comments I realized im not the only one seeing it. Even if theres no wind and no currents in the Calm Belt, there can still be water exchange. In fact, there must be water exchange. If the sea level in the Grand Line is rising and theres not water exchange with the Calm Belt at all, there would be a (huge) gap in water level between the Grand Line and the Calm Belt. That would mean, that the water level in East/South Blue and Paradise are rising at the same time - not only in Paradise. If theres no exchange at all, other explanations like the "magic mountain" could be the reason why there is no gap between Paradise and the Calm Belts (like the water levels at the sides of the Grand Line are lower than in the middle - like a hill with a low gradient) but in our reality that wouldnt be the case. Overall one of the best theories I heard so far (and u got many good ones). Loved espacially the Enis Lobby explanation. It gives so many more questions like "is Reverse Mountain artificial?; where does the water from Enis Lobby go?; what part plays the World Goverment in all of this?" Keep up the good work and thank u for the high quality content as always! (Not a native speaker, forgive me some mispelling and grammar mistakes!)

in episode 385 at 15:10 they go around the grand line to the left, not to the right. The map shown is mirrored horizontally. Exiting the reverse mountain would lead them to go to the left instead of the right.

You're right but what surprises me is how deep is One Piece-verse because this kinda thing is also relatable with something happening in the world right now at a much slower pace which is the damming of the lower 3 chakras breaking out because they have been dammed for too long and that's why classical music suddenly changed to reggae and others in and around 60s. Movements like Hippie, Punk etc were seen over the generations, trying hard to break the old patterns of when the lower chakras were dammed and only a limited amount of energy flowed from bottom to top of the spine. I see a similar pattern here, Marie Joa is like a heaven or brain and grandline is what supports it but when the dam breaks, all lower things will seep into the heaven, flooding it with change.

This theory is awesome even if it could be totaly wrong thats how theories should be people need to have balls to make them even if they are crazy. You triggered a random thought in me: Maybe the goverment flag illustrates the pumping of water from the 4 blues to the grandline(since the the 4 other balls are connected with the middle ball). Well thats also a reach but just wanted to add to your awesome theory! Keep it up bro and please think more about this theory i think you are on something. Best and most logical theory to date. I would be surprised either way if it was true or untrue. Makes me think that Raftel might be underwater or something and that's why no one can find it. Physics aside (pumping water to the other side of the world), the weather part of it makes a ton of sense.

Good theory, there are two more variables that we need to take into account though. Maybe the calm belt somehow prevents this, but the cold water from the blue's should sink to the equator, through the calm belt, regardless off wind, but that's less important I think. My other variable is to take into account bulges in the sea level due to the center of gravity, and that the planet isn't a perfect sphere. This is true on earth, so it is likely true on the One Piece planet as well. There should be areas in the ocean of One Piece where the sea is higher than on other areas, because the surface of the water should curve to match the relative gravitational pull. These may not be as important due to the many moons that orbit the planet in this world, so in writing this maybe the pull of those moons affects the movement of the water in someway.

This is the type of theory I've been waiting for from you JB. Great stuff, I don't know if Oda will actually do anything with it, but it's very interesting. Maybe it has something to do with why Luffy will destroy Fishman Island, or better yet, Raftel.
