What creative ways have you used motion tracking (or which would you like to explore)?

Just to say found you through your digikam video. I like your art focus regardless of medium. So I’ll keep an eye open for your content.

Hey nice video. I don't use too much tracking but now is more clear

Can you track multiple subjects using motion tracking?
@UROfpv2 жыл бұрын
You simply apply motion tracking for each subject

Hi there. Do you make any Kdenlive 2022 videos?
@Photolearningism2 жыл бұрын
Hi pieter cloete! Thank you for watching and for the question! I haven't made any videos just yet in 2022 for #KDEnlive, but do have some projects in the works for the coming weeks~

I've watched some of your videos, and I'm trying to do something and I can't figure out how to do it. I was hoping you could point me to the video that could show me how. I want to play two videos side by side to show comparisons. Like the correct way on the right hand side of the screen, and the wrong way on the left. Thank you in advance. I sure hope you can help.

Hi Dale Folse! Just to clarify, are you seeking to have two videos playing side by side within the project, or to simply play back two video files side by side to compare for editing within #KDEnlive? If within the project, this could be done using a combination of the "position and zoom" (alternatively "transform") to resize \ position videos to fit appropriately within the frame. Some masking may have to be done using one of the mask effects (such as "rectangular alpha mask") to prevent overlapping. If this to compare two video tracks while editing, the "multitrack view" can be used in the monitor docker. Hope that helps!

I have two versions installed on Linux. The most recent (22.04.1) does not have Motion Tracking. The second version, the DaSIAM algorithm is missing Even if I copy the files in opencvmodels Annoying

The current version of Kdenlive V24 now supports 7 models of motion tracking.

Is there a way to motion track a person and colour them out? No masking, just colour fill them?
@Photolearningism5 ай бұрын
Hi! I haven't tested this, but I believe this would be possible using motion tracking (provided the algorithm can track the person) and use the keeframes with a Rotoscope Mask, which limits effects to a defined shape. Within the Rotoscope Mask range, you could theoretically apply colorization effects. Hope that helps!

Just in case it saves you some time, I was able to test this out myself and found that the Motion Tracker keyframes were not importing on the Rotoscope (Mask) effect - there's no error, but does not bring in the data. This being the case (and it seems like it should work), I submitted a bug report to KDE - bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488106 - hopefully this will be fixed!

@@Photolearningism I got the same problem. Some effects are broken or not properly working. Thanking you for your time.

Create a jpg, or title clip consisting of a circle, and put it on your top layer. Using the motion tracker, copy the key frames to the clipboard. Apply a transform to your top clip, and import the key frames from the clipboard.

How does one remove the tracking red square from the rendered result?
@oldhat30752 жыл бұрын
change the tracking shape (rectangle or ellipse) thickness to zero
@jackb18033 ай бұрын
@@oldhat3075 This is actually a feature. So if you want to circle a player in a sports game as they move, you would leave the setting at 1 or larger. On my installation, this value is preset to 0.

Hi a good tutorial on template title would be most appreciated. No good guides on them and reusing text templates in every new session of KDENLive.
