Great review! I love this pedal. The Seventy 4 is amazing too. My only nitpick with the Sixty 8 Deluxe is that the foot switches are too close together. I’m going to try adding one of those button extender cap things to the middle button. In a live situation there’s no way I can hit that middle switch without accidentally hitting one of the others.

I play in a 3 piece doing only my own tunes. The way I see it is I only get one chance to make a first impression. Like anyone doing their own music it is improbable to be like a cover band doing many styles. In the case of a Wedding band a dozen styles. My main sound is a Marshall Metal thing. So using more than one MIAB to me is not a luxury but a flat out NEED! I have all three of the LPD pedals, the 68, the 74 and the 87. I in fact have 8 MIAB and also ...Soldano, Peavey 5150, MESA DualRec, Orange, and even a Laney covered. I often use a different box for the verse, chorus, mid 8 and solo in just a single tune. I am both the singer and the guitarist so in reality it simplifies things while I am singing . I only need to hit 3 switches.

That’s it. All of these „in a box“ pedals sound and / or react different which makes you wanna use them in different parts and songs. It’s awesome having options and being able to find the right one. 🙌

Kris, ur tone at 4:40 is absolutely perfect! What was the signal chain at that point? Amps, speaker, ambience fx...

Hey, thanks so much! It was the same signal chain as in the rest of the video. Strat into the Sixty8 Deluxe, into the Revv clean (as heard at 7:28), into the OX Box with a 2x12 Alnico speaker simulation. The subtle verb is coming from the OX too, it's Universal Audio's plate reverb algorithm. Glad you like it!
