Thats exactly how I remember those days. Venom was my thing, Bathory was yours and we bought them to each other. And ofcorse always taping the radio show :D circa 84-86. Not wrong about Hvis Lyset Tar Oss being a masterpiece. Enjoying this series of videos you've been doing.

These videos are wonderful. There aren’t many completely honest individuals in BM. And the sad truth is that most seem to be limited by outside pressures and influence. Sincerity buried by loads of superficiality and conventional cloning. ASD has a way of keeping us within and that can alienate people that are prone to be impressionable by external social pressures. We are about the same age, I was 14 in 86. Like you, I was listening to Maiden and Slayer. But I met a girl that moved from England, and she gave me a tape that had Bathory "Under The Sign" on one side and Sodom "In The Sign" on the other. It's really cool that while every band was focusing on satanism and other crap that has became typical you've realized that the dark essence in the black metal didn't come from satanism or anything like that. But rather nature, animism, the other dark aspects of nature and even misanthropy. Also very cute dojez!

Complete garbage. Black metal is satanic thought expressed in music, it is borne from the intellectual standpoint of evaluating religion and ideology and rejecting it to praise darkness. His current persona suggests he never understood it or truly embraced, there is no turning back from this mindset for the true believer. That is why he's regarded as a joke and a poser in today's black metal world.

I feel the same in nature and with metal. What is sin? Can you face eternal punishment for a temporary offense of f evil? Did God create this realm or did Satan? Why did God create Satan? We didn't evolve from atoms, we were created by something. Why is it that most people seem like they are under a spell? Why do real Satanists murder but average larping creature of the night are lovely innocent people? Why is this place so confusing? The ones who think they know the most, know the least. Skin cell, prison cell, cell phone.
