The Inspirations - Jesus Is Mine (Live in Warner-Robins, GA)

The Inspirations performance of "Jesus Is Mine" from the live album " A Night of Inspiration" in 1976. All I've done is balance the left and right audio channels, and brighten the sound up a bit with some compression.
The encore is a 5-alarm fire of holy spirit. Gives me chills EVERY time I listen. You can tell that this was their jam. They really come out of their shoes performing this one. I think their performance of this song on this night may be the recorded pinnacle of this incredible group.

I was 5 years old when this album came out. My grandmother had it on a record and we listened to it everyday . I memorized it word for word ,even how to introduce the group. My favorite song was Jack Laws Thanks for loving me.

That was something of a joke- nickname Martin Cook used when he introduced Mike. But no, Mike Holcomb did NOT only weigh 94 pounds at 6'4"- he was very tall and thin however. Just like he introduced Archie Watkins as "sister Archie"- not really anybody's sister, right?

When Mike Holcomb was hired, he was about 20 yrs. old. 6'4" in height and he was so skinny, that Martin said that he couldn't weigh more than 94 lbs. Six four-ninety four! lol!
