the journalist that exposed her wrote a book about the whole story. One of the points they touched on was how well Belle looked, despite having brain cancer. He did it to point out that brain cancer is not something to be trivialised or aspire to- because in reality it is not fun

I have a deep connection with this story... My aunt was always a bit of the conspiracist type, she refused to go to the doctor for a while until her kids eventually convinced her to. She was diagnosed with some kind of cancer liver I think but all I know is that it was operable when they found it. Even though this was in 2020 and she had been debunked for lying my Aunt believed it and decided against all possible interventions instead choosing to go down a natural route. She died a couple months later. TLDR: My aunt died OF TREATABLE CANCER because of this greedy awful woman. I was never close to my aunt and to a certain extent people like Belle Gibson robbed me and my mum of a relationship with my aunt and her sister. I hope she rots in hell.

I happened to get chatting to her cousin at a party and she told me stuff that basically disproved it all. The craziest thing is, at my next job, I met another girl who made up the same type of shit. Big fan of Evanescence here(and I mean BIG, I know about everything from pre-Fallen all the way up to the new sh*t). That b*tch would get a very good interrogation from me if she tried to claim that bull without some very heavy proof as backup. The only tour that I think she(being Amy)would’ve even had a cello player for would’ve been Synthesis, and if she doesn’t have stuff like pictures or doesn’t even know more info about that particular album then I do(which if you’re an actual band member then you would of course know more than me)then I’d know for certain she’s a fake. I know that wasn’t the whole point of your post, she honestly sounds like a lying a**hole all around, but if you’re gonna try to claim to have played for a band, at least try not to choose one that has people like me that will absolutely tear you to shreds for lying about it, especially since I don’t remember anyone in her band or who toured with her being an Aussie. @@crazybobert5243 For me I went through 14 rounds of chemotherapy, each lasting around 5 days, with a 1-2 week gap between each round. Around half way through my treatment I had a surgery to replace my upper tibia ( where the tumor was) with a cadaver bone and some metal to hold it in place. The recovery from that surgery was very rough, it isn’t the nicest to walk with crutches and have to pull around an IV poll around. I finished treatment on Feb 12 of 2022 and was able to start walking again sometime in March. Hope that helps 😊

Faking cancer is one of the worst illnesses you could fake. The trauma my dad has from having cancer as a child. He almost died. Was told he’d never be able to have kids. He was the most extreme version of a germ freak when I was growing up because when he’d get sick when he had cancer he’d be rushed to the hospital. He still has scars all on his back and arms from the years of treatment. He used to take 4 showers a day. He was bullied for missing school so much. These people are just evil.

As someone with epilepsy and two inoperable brain tumors, one growing on my brainstem and the other tumor was enough to make me lose hearing in my right ear.. I've made it through radiation for each tumor and had to do it everyday except weekends for 6weeks, it really drains and takes a toll on you. I was able to make it out of palliative care but still not out of the woods yet and don't even get me started on my mental health, I've been diagnosed with BPD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, social anxiety. I've had my granaunt die from pancreatic cancer, my grandma from liver cancer, my uncle from stomach cancer and my best friend lost his mom to pancreatic cancer...it's no joke and people with chronic and terminal illnesses usually don't want pity and that's all she seemed out, pity, money, sympathy and fame. I just wish I was well enough to not need a caretaker and be able to live on my own with a job but I guess there are more important things in life like clout..

In late 2020 I started having "issues" that I shrugged off. I had been losing weight over a few years but towards the end of 2020 it started to speed up and I just put it down to the fact that as you lose weight the further you go, the quicker you start to lose it. Then I started getting hand tremors which I put down to my job and age (I turned 50 at the start of 2021). After a bad start to 2021 getting Covid on new years day followed straight away by a stomach virus, I was in quite rough shape which I put down to Covid after effects. I then had my first Covid jab in Feb 2021 and holy hell did that kick the shit out of me. Come March things got worse and I had a seizure while at work. I was rushed to hospital and after spending a whole day in A&E having numerous scans they could not find anything wrong. Tried to return to work the next day and boss sent me home as in his words "You look like shit". I was supposed to take a week off, but I was suffering from headaches, throwing up and just losing interest in doing anything. Finally at the end of April I went a bit mental and was once again rushed to hospital. This time though it was far worse. I do not even remember May & June of 2021 and a good portion of early July either. Another personality had taken over and supressed my normal personality. He was paranoid that people were trying to kill him, was aggressive and used to refuse treatment and pull needles out of his arms. He even tried to escape the hospital and had to be sedated (yes I refer to "him" as I don't see this as me being that I remember none of it and everyone who saw me, said it was not me). I finally came around mid July and found out I had been in three different hospitals trying to find out what was wrong with me since the start of May and was told initial diagnosis was TB Meningitus, but they were not 100% convinced so started treating me for it, but were still doing tests in case it was something else. By this time I was still suffering the split personality with the other guy now convinced we were dead and living in hell, with the other patients being demons. Thankfully though I was in control so was no longer aggressive or paranoid, but the nightmares they were something else. I was finally diagnosed as having a type of blood cancer which was putting pressure on my brain causing it to misfire. As soon as they reached this diagnosis they started my chemo treatment. So 2021 and 2022 I spent my time back and forwards to hospital getting chemo, blood tests twice a week and in the end getting a stem cell (bone marrow) transplant. I am now in remission and have a few side effects still affecting me, but nothing too serious. So yeah, rather long winded post that might look like I am trying to get people to feel sorry for me, but the reason I posted that is because this is the true effect of cancer which affects the brain. People like this woman should face more serious repercussions for her actions. She can go fuck herself quite frankly.

I once knew a girl that faked cancer. Her type would switch from cervical to breast cancer. She actually had me feel the "lump" in her breast that was just normal muscle tissue. She drank and smoked and still came into work (a topless club) claiming she had just gotten done with chemotherapy treatments that day. Yet she would still slam fireball and perform on stage like nothing happened. This pattern continued for a year and she still looked the exact same and still fumbled her story to multiple girls and customers to get a quick sympathy bag. I had to be the asshole to call her out and asked for medical records, especially since my dad's side of the family has had 3 cases of breast cancer (grandma had it a whopping 4 times before she went in for the mastectomy) and lemme tell ya- they didn't look healthy during their own treatments. After that day, she never came back in and allegedly just moved over to another club. People are wild. Hope she's growing from that.

Honestly I can't believe it took so long for people to catch her out when it was that easy for me to catch it, and it seems even easier for journalists to be able to fact check Belle's very obviously dubious claims.

It’s so funny how all these scammers see and portray cancer as this mild inconvenience type thing where you just go bald (or not), are kind of weak sometimes, but then everyone is showering you with praise and adoration and expensive gifts, so it must not be that bad right? And by funny I mean disgusting.
