After several years of listening to this music genre, this song still stands out at the top. There is something about it I just can't explain; it's the feeling it creates, the thoughts it inspires, the perspectives I would never otherwise be able to even get a glimpse of. I am glad I explored other genres of music and didn't stop at the first and hottest pop song I heard. So glad I didn't miss this masterpiece

Completely agree. I randomly clicked on it, the picture was of a sea scape with a ship close to the rocks...not surprisingly the picture is called The Shipwreck...it was captivating but the music was just totally mesmerizing. I've listened to a lot of his music it's really excellent stuff.

Even though there are only a couple of notes and instruments in this type of music, combining them optimally still requires as much mastery as in any other music.

@@JO-vj9kn but you know if this guy creates his own pads then there's alot of work that goes into that alone, and that's just one sound, I create my own pads on reason and you could use several different synths to create just one sound

The chord progression has really nothing to it. The artistry comes when the sound grows layer upon layer, making your mind make extension to other sounds which aren't present, but are so strongly implied as to become real. That is the true creativity and artistry behind this piece, to me at least. It is no small feat on the part of Intangible, and it is really quite a major achievement. As for me, I could loop this all day and never get tired of it.

Life ends when you die for sure but self-awareness could be uploaded to something. Thoughts are basically chemical stuff that receptors process + some electric stuff = nothing machines couldnt possibly do one day. I mean there is nothing un-natural magic/soul stuff that technology coulndt handle in the future.

It's beautiful on the emotional level, but on the intellectual level it comes across as repetitious and somewhat boring.
@HuntingTarg3 жыл бұрын
So in what sense does music need to be "intellectual" ? This is not an attempt to be critical, just to clarify; I have come to view music as the language of the subconscious, of evocation and emotion.
@jimyost25853 жыл бұрын
@@HuntingTarg ~ Well, if you like it then go for it. As for me, I consider it to be boring and repetitious . Personally I prefer music that is more high-energy, such as music made by Tripswitch, Ott, Plaid, William Orbit, Sasha, Special EFX, Brand X, Weather Report, and many others. In my opinion the ultimate rock and roll tune is "Who Do You Love" by Quicksliver Messenger Service. But I only listen to it every once in awhile, two or three times a year maybe, because it's too heavy for me to take on a day-to-day basis.
