The biggest threat to countries like this always comes from outside influences. I hope that they can ensure that native industries, companies and workers are benefited by the Belt and Road Initiative and that they do not give up any more land if they default on their loans.

Some of the footage is less than 20 years old. What is the purpose of your question. The purpose of a documentary ultimately is to document which this film did. Why should old footage not be on KZbin? Why would people agree to be filmed then be upset when it’s published and broadcasted? I’m a nobody from the USA. Thanks

If the soviets supposedly ran it so well then you would expect the transformation of this "civilised" soviet paradise country after the collapse of the USSR to run more smoothly and them keeping friendly relationship with the Russia but the opposite is the truth like we can see with a lot of former USSR countries. We can see the same trend even in 2020 with Belarus and Ukraine. Seems like the soviet influence and this almost invasive exporting of russian population to different countries was not the key to normalisation and creation of a healthy, progressive society. Still "brilliant" soviet planning had to be forced on these people.
