Amazing woman. Through her I understood Ghalib more in one day than years of my own study.

And thanks to ghalib mir that to day this Urdu language is parallel to Arabic Persian and English even sometimes and somewhere surpassing all these languages I also pay tribute to the families like this lady that love of this language has been of a vital importance for life to know it well and cherish it through the depth beauty and magic of this language!!!

This couplet by Mirza Ghalib is multi layered ,"Taufiq" is will to power bestowed by divine vision. This must be a potion of "Khudi" as defined by Dr. Iqbal, rather a state of self respect. A rain drop, destined to be a pearl, a grain of sand that must be polished to bear pains of birth by mother of the pearl.

Very well said yes Ghalib must be talked in Urdu whoever has any interest in Ghalib must learn Urdu English is an all out handicapped to muster upon even a word of Ghalib only those who know this language can understand Ghalib no other language can bring magic and flavour of Ghalib as Urdu language itself!!

Professor Dr. Azra Raza , you already mastered Mirza Asad Ullah Khan Ghalib ,you could study Mathematics ,history of Mathematics ,especially ,work of Mathematician, Kurt Goedel on incompleteness theorems, proof of existence of God Almighty. Believe you must find Mirza Ghalib already discovered Theory of Numbers, Abstract Algebra ahead of times in his couplets .

Unfortunately, Urdu is a dying language. Many reasons and someone with keener insight could provide more insight with conviction. But, one of the reasons illustrated in this particular forum with seemingly all urdu speaking audience and while discussing Ghalib the language being used is English. I feel fortunate I grew up in an urdu speaking household I say this because this beautiful language afforded me the ability to pronounce words from almost all languages I have yet encountered and I have been to all habitable continents and 36 countries. A question though is this book an "interpretation, translation or a transliteration. I ask because in Pakistan most folks equate translation to interpretation.
